Peter Fury/Tyson Fury fallout

I don’t know if there’s been a thread about this already but just curious as to what was the reason why they have no relationship now whatsoever? Also no interaction between Hughie and Tyson at all. I did some digging on Reddit and a few people say it’s to do with money and the Parker Hughie fight.

 

I read it was something to do with Peter and Hughie doing some work with David Haye.

Tyson was still furious over the 2 pull outs, and can’t remember what for, but Peter and Hughie were in David gym having pictures and what not taken and doing some work with David himself.

Tyson got hump.

 

I think Hughie might have sparred Haye before the first Bellew fight.
I believe Peter was also annoyed at Tyson for his conduct around the time of the proposed 2nd Wlad fight. Not turning up for training etc with no prior notice.

 

This is my understanding of the situation as well. IIRC Tyson also tweeted something along the lines of “what you doing in that p***k’s gym” too when the pair were pictured with Haye.

I also vaguely remember that Tyson being very pally with Joseph Parker straight after his fight with Hughie also irked Peter.

 

This is due to Fury dropping him as a trainer and Mick as promoter. Fury simply outgrew Peters old school discipline and wanted a fresh start of course being the men to take him to the top it was seen as a big betrayal. Understandable on both sides and in hindsight it was the right decision for Fury.

 

I heard it was money. I have forgotten the details, but it has been discussed on here before.

For someone who likes to constantly remind us that he’s a Christian, you’d think Tyson would be more familiar with the concept of forgiveness.

Add it to his long list of contradictions.

 

I believe it's down to a number of things;

- Tyson going off the rails in the lead up to the Wlad rematch that then never happened.
- Money
- Tyson completely cutting ties with Hennessy who Peter is fiercely loyal too.
- Hughie going off to spar David Haye after Haye's two pull out's cost Tyson a shed of money.

That said, at least they have kept the rift in-house. Neither side disrespects the other publicly and I remember Tyson wishing Hughie well before one of his fights.

Is Peter really fiercely loyal to Mick Hennessy?

 

Yes, I think it's pretty obvious by now is it not?

He still has Hennessy involved in Hughies career now.

 

I don't know. That's why I am asking. I can't remember anything that Peter Fury has done with Mick Hennessy for a while. Maybe there is a bunch of stuff I am missing.

 

Hennesy is the manager of Peter's fighters, so a backseat role but still gets a small% cut.
