Better Overall fighter- 70s Foreman or Tony Margarito

Both are pretty even but in different ways. Tony is just better in terms of cutting the ring, applying pressure, combination punching, workrate and pacing while Foreman is simply way stronger, better killer instinct, better jab and grappling/wrestling. Both chins are just equally unbreakable. The only thing that Tony excels compared to Foreman is his stamina, and Foreman excels Tony in terms is punching power.

 

Tony. He had much better defence (pre-Cotto) and wasn't as wild with his punches.

Foreman has much better ring IQ which makes this a close call, but I still just about edge it towards Margarito.

Margarito was more complete and succeeded in making title defenses. I picked him.

You realize Young and Foreman both turned pro in '69... and that Young was actually older than Foreman.

As for him being an unknown prospect, he'd shut out the #3 contender 2 years prior, repeated it in a rematch in his previous fight before Foreman, and many felt he was robbed against Ali the year prior and should've been champion. Oh yeah and he was also the no. 2 contender, which officially made him the third best heavyweight in the world.

I must ask; do you actively try to be this stupid, or does it just come naturally?
