Not sure about that one either.
Fury was "weak as a kitten" in the words of his dad because of the weight cut. He left Davison after that performance and joined up with Sugar Hill Steward.

Though it was good to see Wallin still calling out Whyte after the fight. Whyte owes Wallin that much

Wrong, it shows how styles make fights.

Whyte couldn't get a shot off at fury as is he too slow footed and doesn't have the reach.

Wilder managed to have a success as he is much more athletic and explosive with a longer reach which meant he could tag fury.

It's annoys me when people say oh this guy did this to this guy therefore he beats that guy. Doesn't work like that

    Every fight is different
I'm not sure why people don't realise this
Duran list early to Hearns but went the distance with Hagler and Leonard

Yep exactly this. Styles makes fights and Whyte never had the style to even be competitive. His slow feet always meant he could never cut the distance and even if he did have quicker feet he was never the press forward, come in low or use angles on the way in cut off the ring type fighter. He was usually the taller guy and fought like that and when he did fight taller guys like Helenius and Joshua he usually struggled.

He didn't even really have a punchers chance. Even if he had the power to KO Fury he never had the right punch. Whyte's best punch is the left hook but Fury's vulnerability has always been to the right hand as every knockdown of his has shown. Wilder at least had the big right hand to hurt Fury, Whyte didn't have that in his arsenal, he never stood a chance.

Exactly that and wilders right hand takes the fastest route, straight down the middle. He throws it explosively with a massive reach, he can be miles out of range and launch it. Whyte struggled badly against wach which should have been the sign really and like you say why whyte has done well he's been the taller guys sticking them on the end of the jab. His jab is actually very good but of no use against a much longer opponent who can move like that.

It proves Whyte correct that he was right to duck Wallin

I don't think anyone thought (outside of Matchroom FC/Hearn fan boys) Whyte would win based upon his ability

The only thing Wilder had was his right hand, I can't think of anything in Whytes arsenal that would have worried Fury.

I'm seeing this take everywhere on twitter. Wilder really has some devoted fans who live off Fury's performances so they can then make vicarious conclusions about Wilder. It's weird as hell.

No, it's just showed us that Whyte is not top boxer.

No he didn’t, go watch the last 30 seconds again and come back better informed or at least less myopic.

Joshua was absolutely gassed and close to just falling over, Usyk went for a KO but didn’t land a shot in that last 30mseconds despite throwing plenty. Joshua almost falling over was nothing to do with Usyk power because Usyk never landed a punch

Wilder is tall, can close the distance ****ing quickly.

He's a problem for anyone..... Not sure why people wheeled out the line of 'oh he's **** now'.

No, he just got beaten by one of the best heavyweights in history.

Wilder is still dangerous as hell. He would dismantle Joshua with ease. It wouldn't last 4 rounds. The first big punch he lands causes Joshua huge problems. He would beat Whyte. Wilder could have a lot of problems with Usyk as Usyk is the far superior boxer, so it's a case of how does Usyk handle such a big punch if he gets caught. Everyone Wilder hits, he hurts.

Wilder is taller and rangier than Whyte, faster and has more one shot power so he matches up better with Fury who is tall and durable. I dont know if Povetkin completely turning Whytes lights out might have permanently softened up Whytes chin too.

Love it how these Wilder fans are trying to use Fury's victory to big up Wilder. I've got news for you clowns - he's still an overrated, fragile, mediocrity with a padded record who got exposed against the first decent fighter he faced.
