Have been to both Manchester and Liverpool for boxing and it's an absolute pleasure going to the stadium from the town. London is overrated as a venue.
Why London at all ? I've been to fights at the MEN, Manchester, Echo in Liverpool, Goodison Park and just about every venue in the Midlands. Liverpool and Manchester, no problems. A walk away from the town centre or a train from Goodison. I'm pretty sure Birmingham City Council would chip in for the bus and train drivers' overtime. These events are huge earners for these cities.
Same here mate. Froch groves II and never again. They even turned the big tellies off during the ringwalks that fight so we had no clue what was going on. By contrast Froch Groves I from the top tier of the MEN remains the best atmosphere I've ever experienced at a sporting event. MEN the goat arena for boxing imo.
The MEN is a great arena and probably the best in the world. The Echo and the Arena in Glasgow when I went up to watch Inoue and Taylor fighting was very good as well.
Problem with London is that it's fully of cockneys. Did you know that the men wear gloves in the winter in the south of England, so that their precious hands don't get cold? Bless'em
They also wear them in Everton mate - don't know why they need gloves when all they do is park a bus driven by Fat Frank.
A Always has been. For historical reasons, Twickenham is a totally random venue for international sport.
Oh aye I suppose it's a good time to be alive when you're a Liverpool fan. I wish someome would shoot me.
The dirty fookers probably urinated in the tray before the doors opened. The licence should be withdrawn immediately
