I have followed Hearns all through the 80s and the middleweight version was not as effective as the Welterweight and Jr Middleweight versions. The question is does triple G handle the power of the hitman and would he be able to outbox him? Taking a shot from GGG though may be another matter.
I could see Hearns breaking his right hand, exactly as he did when he fought Hagler, throwing it against whatever alien material makes up GGG's chin. GGG would probably KO late or UD.
GGG doesnt have solid defense, he blocks punches with his damn face. im not sure he could have taken Hearns biggest punches for a full 12 rounds. I think Hearns takes this!
Just don't like hearns past 154 but those body shots would be murder for ggg. It's honestly a toss up, but I would think it would be all hearns early with him landing a few bombs on ggg's cinder block head and racking some hook in downstairs. Around the 5th hearns starts to tire and GGG grind him down, stoping him in the mid rounds.
I'll take ggg...hearns is obviously better in most departments and stylewise one of my all time favourites but at middle this just isn't a good match up for him...he'd have his moments before getting flattened though
This tells me one thing and one thing only, you don't know shite about boxing as everyone has always known This content is protected This is a guy with 300 amateur fights. GGG does a plethora of subtle defensive manoeuvres with his shoulders, elbows arms, (and efficient head movement and distance management) that the standard casuals don't have the eye to observe
