Marshall v Shields is way bigger.. I don’t think think Taylor or Serrano have been built enough to headline a show stand alone, which is disappointing. There’s been no ground work, no msm involvement, no prominent YouTube channels coming out in support of it (although the boxing news channels have)
See Eddie complaining Sky not covering the event lol. You have to laugh at the brassneck. Be like walking out on your nice loyal wife for another woman and complaining that your wife won't let you pop round to have sex with her anymore.
Official numbers as of 24 hours ago were 14,180 tickets sold with 3,098 available. It won’t sell out but still not too shoddy.
Especially given they have a fight on at the exact same time. Remember DAZN giving us full preview shows to Whyte vs Fury last week
Just got an email from Ticketmaster US offering me 25% off tickets and that clown Hearn saying it’s a sell out. He’s such a lying idiot.
In the US usually approx 20% of ticket sales are on fight day. So they are tracking easily for a sell out
The demand for this isn't as big as they make out and clearly womans boxing is not as big as they want it to be Fact that you will have a large amount Irish and puerto ricans in New York And scouse element for Smith and not close to a sell out speaks volumes.
Y Yet it will be the most watched female fight of all time. First fight to sell out MSG, highest female purses ever and very unlikely to be beaten by shields vs Marshall in any of those areas and I’m a big Marshall fan
I can't understand why Sky aren't pushing this fight. You'd think after Hearn walking out with his entire stable and making not so sly digs in every interview at them, they'd be helping out where they could. He's fully aware how much force the SkySport's machine can put behind a fight, it's killing him not to have it anymore. He walked away so he could have a few sparklers on the ring walk and 'shoulder programming'. The Matchroom shows from his garden went to his head, he thought he could do it all. I remember him putting so much emphasis behind his new presenting team which have carried about as much power as one of Conor Benn's opponents. You made your bed, Edward....
The ticket prices are close to a giveaway aren't they? Can't see any cheaper than $500 in comparison for Canelo
Twitter is even more of an echo chamber than normal for this fight. The same people talking in circles how this is the biggest fight going. Yet I know for a fact not a single one of my friends will watch this It clearly had a market but I am very doubtful it is as big as people want to think
Whilst I understand the issues with Taylor fighting in Ireland this would been better held in her home country with a decent undercard of Irish fighters.
