It’s a tough one. Every time someone has a loss these threads get made! However in this case Dillian is 34. Hes never going to win a world title, He’s just had a massive payday on top of all the others he’s had. He’s probably earned north of £10mil in his career without taking sustained punishment (it’s always been 1 hit KO’s). He should get out whilst he’s ahead.
For the sake of his health he should retire, I only see more concussions in his future. That chin is broken.
Not sure about the sustained punishment. He got a bit of a beating from Joshua and those 2 fights with Chisora will surely have a long term effect.
Fighting "great domestic showdowns" against established journeymen and then, after a few years go by, fed to an actual prospect or three.
He’d be mad to retire at this time. Still some very big paydays ahead of him including some that I wouldn’t be surprised to see on PPV such as Joyce, Dubois, Wilder, Ruiz, hell I wouldn’t be surprised to see him vs Chisora again!
Yup, sadly it more than likely will go that way, but better fighters than him have ended up much worse off, so he should count himself lucky and basically fakk orrfff.
Dillian Whyte takes a good long summer break and then he will be presented at a Boxxer / Sky Sports press conference in early September. There are still many lucrative fights that can be made.
At this stage He's much more likely to become an easy ko than to deliver 1, from the second him & fury sat down at the press conference he had the manner of a guy just happy to be there, his performance done nothing to change my mind, he's so used to being told he's a "star" he appears to genuinely believe he deserves a rematch...some balls to suggest such a thing after waiting 50,000 days (or whatever he says this week) while champion after champion cowered away from him...then delivers THAT atrocity when the chance came
