Bert Cooper vs Michael Moorer: Top 10 HW Classic?

I would say it's the 90s version of Foreman vs Lyle, I don't know if its top 10 of all time. But for short fights it's definitely up there.

 

I mean there's so many great Heavyweight fights, it's hard to pin down an exact number where it belongs. Like for example sometimes i love the technical brilliance of Holmes vs Norton, and sometimes i prefer good slugfest like Foreman vs Lyle.

I mean off the top of my head there's so many contenders.

I was watching Norton vs Ali 2 recently and i have to say i really enjoyed this fight aswell, not a toe to toe slugfest. But Ali was in great shape there was some great boxing and exchanges highly competitive. I mean it's all relative Cooper vs Moorer is definitely up there, but is it top 10 ? i couldn't tell you it all depends on how i'm feeling on the day, as i said sometimes i prefer a quick short slugfest. Other times i enjoy a great technical battle as much as the slugfest.

 

It was really amusing, no doubt. I don’t know about top ten but I don’t watch a lot of HW boxing to be honest.

 

Easily IMO.

 

It was as good as most heavyweight fights but wouldn’t rank it as high as the ones mentioned due to the actual status of the fighters in question

 

I can't say it's an all time top ten heavyweight fight or not but it was a hell of an exciting fight ..

 

My buddy and I were ringside for that fight. It was incredible!
