I watched some of the Ruiz-Arroela fight. Ruiz look like he had ring rust more than anything else. He could have a place in the division, if he stays motivated.
I think it had more to do with Joshua eating a really bad concussive countershot to the forehead which he wasn't braced for which led to that particular situation playing out. Remember Joshua's taken a flush right hand from Wlad before. His chin issues are overblown.
You're a great poster, but i disagree. He ain't the same fighter from 2017. Whether it's a mental or chin problem, he just can't recover from a good blow anymore. After he loses to Usyk he'll lose to someone else, and the loss will probably be a stoppage one. He's scared of receiving brain damage doesn't have the mental strength to compete at the top level anymore. Even Parker beats him now i bet, provided it's the Parker that fought Chisora
Ortiz's style of counter lends itself to slower rangier fighters who attack mostly with single shots. He reads the shot coming, slips it, and responds with a heavy left straight. I'm not sure how easily he'll be able to slip Ruiz's fast flurries since he doesn't really have the speed of hand or willingness to fight in the pocket. Ruiz's chin looked pretty poor last time out though, so it'd be interesting to see how he takes a solid whack from the old man.
Yes, confidence-wise he's not as solid as he once was, but that's something that affects his tactics and willingness to take risks than his ability to physically recover from a shot I think. I don't think it's fair to cite the Usyk loss here as evidence of a poor chin. Usyk might not have huge one-punch concussive power but he mentally and physically wears you down. I can't see Wilder doing any better in this situation, and probably considerably worse. Joshua may be broken but it's hard to determine that without further evidence. He's clearly resilient enough to bounce back from bad losses so it's possible that even if he loses to Usyk again (which he probably does) he might still remain a top fighter. I really can't see him losing to Parker based on what we've seen of him post-Ruiz for instance.
But he was getting staggard and hurt from one-shots from Usyk early on. Wilder would get worn down but he's not getting stunded a one left hand by Usyk in round 2 if he took Fury's power for several rounds. Fury hits much harder than Usyk. Joshua's done at the elite level and the fact that he's been saying he listens to motivational speeches to keep going kind of confirms it. That Klitschko fight chipped away at him, the Ruiz fight cracked his mental state and the Usyk fight was the final shattering blow

3 years ago in the KO loss to Wilder, Ortiz couldn’t fight for more than 6 rounds without gassing out. If Ruiz Jr has any motivation left he should be stopping Ortiz inside 6 rounds.
Good fight. Both are shot to pieces. I think Ruiz wins but i wouldn't be shocked if Ortiz takes it. It'll come down to ROIDnoso and the "effort" he puts into Ruiz ....if you know what i mean
Looks like they are done milking Ortiz name and are finally making an in house fight that should have been made years ago.
