in my opinion the key to beat shakur is the jab.. two jabs in a row accompanied by a step forward and then you side to the left or right...basically feint all the time and jab the jab while you cut him off the ring and throwing hits the arms... you have to break those arms... you need to break his muscle like canelo with callum... don't bother wanting to hit him clean..

Herring was bigger than him, do you not consider him B or C level?

That was called a 35 yo aging boxer (who beat a shot significantly smaller Frampton) being the good boy handing his belts over to the new "star"

He makes the weight. Fights people the same weight as him and batters them. Him and Valdez both came up from 130, and Herring was bigger than him…

35’s always been the cutoff point imo, that’s when you start to leave your prime years in boxing, it used to be like 27 in the old days due to poor knowledge of training and nutrition,
For a heavyweight these days, the cutoff point is probably 38 or something like that for a big heavyweight, look at Helenius, he looks better than ever and he’s 38

So what exactly is a B or C level fighter?

I think maybe to play possum

Some of valdez's best connects after he looked hurt and Shakur moved in to follow up

I think somebody who can match his speed or time him could be very dangerous but thats a short list plus it could help being similar in height/reach

If there is one area that I think Stevenson showed a little weakness last night is that his right hand is a lot less effective in his left hand and his Jab is more of a probe rangefinder than a damaging or effective punch. Could be an issue vs a more dynamic fighter

Essentially it's going to take a very special fighter to beat him outside of the possible bomb out of nowhere

It might take some skillful mauling pressure boxer, that's also bigger than him, someone as Mauricio Lara or Emanuel Navarrete, but I think he beats both right now. Dude's a p4p material.

YES, mi hijo. I stated this in the RBR thread. Stevenson drops his right hand to his hip after every jab. Come back IMMEDIATELY with your own jab!
