Used to like Eddie but after no ppv on dazn then how can you expect to get Joshua without ppv.Seemed reasonable but if its true the Golovkin fight is ppv he is having a laugh
With the obscene amount of ppvs at the moment and with the current ongoing living crisis would it not be wise in the bigger picture and long run to drop price to say 10 pounds surely would get alot more buys Would u pay 10 pounds for say Smith vs eubank Jr maybe a Dalton smith and azim on undercard in better fights Can't understand for life me putting on chisora vs fury for 27 quid seems madness to me no one is going buy it
Makes me remember the good old days like the Magnificent 7 card and the ones that were around at that time.
There's not that many potential PPV matchups I would consider paying for next year. Aside from, any combination of Fury, Usyk, Wilder and AJ fighting each other, there's Beterbiev vs Bivol, Spence vs Crawford that spring to mind. There's not much in the way of domestic fights that I think are worth it.
Frank Warren had some incredible shows that were PPV but I really felt that the viewers got their money's worth.
I think that six PPVs at £27 a time is what Sky want to run next year. The break even point for PPV in this country is around 250k buys depending on costs which is doable if you basically have terrible undercards full of one sided showcase fights.
The cost of living crisis is getting distorted a bit, there are still loads of fairly well off idiots out there with more money than sense, it's the people who have never had money that are getting hit. Tradies still earn a fortune and they're the types that don't mind paying these prices and there's more than enough of them about.
The Magnificent 7 was a good Warren card Macklin and Barker were supposed to fight on it but Barker pulled out if I remember correctly. So would've been even better !
