Fury will come back. if he did retire then he can be easily overtaken by AJ or Usyk and whoever becomes undisputed.
Fury's resume is otherwise very weak against ATG Heavies. Also I don't assume he's that great H2H because he's fought only one ATG in Vlad. I don't rate 3 fights with Wilder as that great because Wilder didn't fight any of the top guys. It just is what it is. Fury needs that other fight or two to just be the best in this era.

Joshua never fancied it, he's a busted flush already too.. Ruiz? Really? He went life and death with a shot Arreola & made robot Joshua look fleet of foot recently.. that tells you about where he's been at.. Fury was also wrapped up in a contractual trilogy .. there has never been any call for fury versus Ruiz... Wilder would flatten him anyway , I don't even think he'd beat Whyte.. in fact i'll be surprised if he picks up any semblance of a decent win again, I think he's literally eaten the hunger out of himself

BS. Klitschko in 2015 is a better win than a 2022 Joshua. Ending of an era, dethroning an ATG. That Klitschko may well have had just enough left to finish Joshua. Active & nearly 2 years younger. Joshua would add to his legacy sure but it wouldn't crown it. WK in 2015 was that moment. WK, Wilder x3, Whyte, Chisora x2.. those are the bulk of his resume , its solid. No one ever said it's comparable to the likes of Ali's but you can bet your ass it will get him into the Hall of Fame.

Sometimes a miss is as good as a mile.

Had Fury fought Wilder a third time in early 2021, and then got the Joshua fight and won that (as we all know he would), then he could have said that he dominate his era by ending the Klitschko era and beating his two chief rivals. Considering their relatively high quality (of Joshua and Klitschko, anyway) no argument could be made against him as a top ten.

He let it slip through his fingers, and now he is a mere 15-20 guy.

Very good career, but he could have been an elite.

Well, I support him as long as he's healthy and happy.

HW hasn't been the same division since the Lewis, Holyfield. Tyson, Bowe era.

Fury is the best of this current era, but I really don't know where I'd rank him all-time.

Who fights for the WBC now?

Will it be Wilder against the winner of Parker vs Joyce?

So has he relinquished his belt or is this just a big waste of time? Where's the link?

His resume is on the same level as Riddick Bowe or Vitaly Klitschko.

Won't be surprised if he does retire, that last performance is perfect. He's also a person who I can see that wouldn't care to what people say if he really hangs em up.

Good, now make a good fight for that WBC belt.

Since Wilder is inactive, Joyce vs Parker is for WBO mandatory, than It should be Ruiz vs Sanchez. #4 vs #5

Why would he retire? He will get at least $150M for fighting the winner of AJ vs Usyk.

He's probably trying to get his salary increased by threatening to retire.
