    Battle of the bar room bouncers, Tony Galento vs Chuck Wepner. How would this hypothetical bout plays out. Two Ton Tony was kayoed by Joe Louis on June 28 1939, Louis stopped him when the referee intervened. Chuck Wepner was the last opponent for Sonny Liston, who stopped Chuck on June 29 1970 by TKO 10, Wepner received over 100 sutures. Chuck was later stopped by Champion Muhammad Ali on March 24 1975 by TKO 15. The Ali vs Wepner fight was the basis of the Rocky franchise starring Sylvester Stallone. Who wins this bout?

    What a bloody, dirty fight this would be.
    The ref has his work cut out for sure!

    I like Tony stopping him, maybe on cuts, and with his own face not far behind.

    However it goes, it will likely NOT inspire a movie. Unless they apply heavy artistic licence in the telling of the back story and the fight - in lieu of the facts (see Cinderella Man).

    Probably give it to The Fat Man - Chucky’s one trick rabbit punches will look like Child’s Play (CT has copyright on that joke) as compared to Galento’s head, elbows and whatever other body parts he can use non legally.

    Horrific spectacle ! Jake LaMotta wouldn't referee it. There aren't many wins over top class men on either record so tough to say if either Fighter had a greater level of talent.
    Galento was a three weight New Jersey amateur Champion and seemed a really surly, tough guy so I'm going to go with him.
