    Good win by Bivol, he was stronger and more skilled. Canelo is lucky he wasn’t trying that against Beterbiev.

    Bivol not getting on his bike, staying at mid-range and busy, closing strong, jabs up top and straight rights on the ribcage. Álvarez is rushing in, doubling his jab and trying a line drive right of his own, but Bivol blocks it all, shoves him out to mid-range, and tattoos his face with combinations. Bivol with dips of the rear knee to buoy himself out of the pocket and give himself room to unfurl more jabs in the face of the attacking Álvarez. Finally facing facts, Álvarez abandons his pressure and retreats, hoping to bait Bivol into a huge unseen overhand. Bivol being careful, however, not biting, walking forward and landing jabs aplenty.
