    Not sure he can tbh
Not without risking gassing out & getting Knocked out. (Canelo)

Canelo Might not have the tools to overcome the height & reach advantages.
Plus Bivol will not give him what he is looking for .. he is a Terrific boxer. (Bivol)

The judges want to give it to him ( i know, it not right but it is what it is) so all he has to do

    1. Not get tired
    2. Stay off the ropes
    3. Be a little more busy

When Bivol flurries (or attempts to flurry), be prepared to

    a) flurry right back
    b) or evade the flurries by blocking or parrying in.

Bivol is the better boxer (just like Usyk is a better boxer than Joshua) of the two but you don't have to be better to win a boxing match.

Alvarez & Joshua are the two cash cows of boxing...all they have to do is adjust just a little and win at least 4 rounds, the judges will give them the other 3.

Oh and fight at a venue that is in their favor.

So yes, Alvarez can beat Bivol in the rematch.

Canelo can win a GGG III type fight. if he lost by only 1 round in a fight in which he was getting schooled, I can imagine
a scenario where he wins 4 or 5 rounds legitimately and that would be enough for the judges to reverse last night's
113-115 into a 115-113 win for the Tainted One.

watching Bivol before the fight, I saw his attributes. they are real. they are substantive. some one posted that Bivol was "very weak."...that really sort of surprised me. The man stays within his game plan and fights to his strengths. One of the big things I noticed is his confidence. we have all seen innumerable examples of boxers that scream to the heavens about their greatness. we have also seen that a lot of that is false bravado. I felt that Bivol was the real deal and that he truly believed in himself.
the saying is that fighting is 90% mental. Bivol has that 90% in the bank. he is disciplined also to fight to his strengths. This man is going to be hard to beat.

Canelo seems to have nothing to threaten Bivol with. That's a real problem.

    168 is the smart move.

He got close in certain situations where he missed but a **** hair of a flush shot.

I think he needs to outsmart him (lol easier said than done) and bait him into something big.

    Canelo can’t outbox him.

Would be very difficult as he would need to make a lot of changes. Bivol has him figured out and fighting like he normally does clearly won't work.

First thing he needs to address is Bivol's jab. All too often he was left stuck behind his high guard unable to do anything as Bivol's jab kept him pinned in a defensive position behind his high guard. He needs to learn how to intercept the jab with his own lead hand and parry it, so he's not trapped behind his guard and unable to throw.

He needs to improve his agility and footwork on the front foot. He moves pretty well on the back foot but when on the front foot he just plants his feet, walks his opponent down and throws power shots from that planted stance. That didn't work vs Bivol as he used his jab to prevent Canelo from forcing him back to the ropes where Canelo is most effective. While Bivol did use good movement he also stood his ground for a lot of the fight.

He can't square up like he usually does, he needs a more bladed stance because so often when Canelo tried to walk him down he was pushed back by Bivol's lead hand. Canelo would press, look to unload and Bivol would push him, forcing Canelo off balance which then required him to reset. Bivol blunted Canelo's forward momentum so easily because Canelo is so squared up and even when he did get inside he'd just push Canelo off him to create space which was easy to do because of that squared up stance.

He needs to improve his stamina and work rate if he's to effectively pressure Bivol as he'll need to rely on a guard less and more on head movement and then using that head movement to make Bivol miss to create opening for counters rather than his usual catch, counter style.

If his management team are sensible, they'll advise him to forget about Bivol and go back down to 168 where there are more winnable and lucrative fights for him, like GGG 3, Benavidez, Charlo, Andrade etc.

Since the OP asked for sensible replies only, we can disregard any child who uses "clever" monikers like "Clenelo".

It could be possible for Canelo to win, but I don't think it would be in impressive fashion. If he focused on speed instead of power, got off first and used movement he could get a decision win. (either fair or contested). Bivols jab really gave him problems though. If he limited the clean shots Bivol landed it would be a harder fight to score and that favors Canelo. Canelo fought that fight like he was the bigger man and it never worked.

I would tell Canelo to forget about bivol and focus on 168 and if he still insist, spend camp mainly on roadwork and cardio Canelo showed he was skilled enough to keep bivol connect rate pretty low but he wasn’t able to capitalize or keep with the pace. Although idk if they would help Canelo not a lhw so that added weight fight night might always be a issue he didn’t look that good vs Kovalev even in victory it’s divisions for a reason
