so he should not test him self vs one top fighter because he could lose to another?? What sense does that make Kovalev was the most decorated LHW champ of his era and it took a come from behind KO for Canelo to win and even after that fight Canelo acknowledged 175 was tough. The man trying to be great more fighters currently should aspire to that.

Yeh it matters but not half as much as having the boxing skills

For HW Size is part of talent. A gift from God that you cant teach.

Every big HW since Bowe is worse than expected against men their own Size.

But today they face eatchother more often Than before. Lewis and Vitali both exposed eatchother for an example and so on.

It does, but it has diminishing returns the higher in weight you go.

Also it's dynamic, not fixed. For example Golovkin was the bigger man when they fought first time, if they fight now Canelo will be the bigger man.

He beat a badly faded Kovalev. Stop acting like it was the beast who was dropping dudes left and right. He got gassed up on that win thinking he could walk through Bivol and then face Usyk.

So why ain’t nobody else walkthrough Kovalev?? Canelo had a come from behind win vs a older great champion. For example GGG almost 40 who you picking that’s at 154 or 47 vs him?
Judging by the responses I can’t tell if Canelo got a lot of haters or if it’s just been so long since we had guys actually trying to be the best. Canelo even taking on Kovalev or bivol should be commended.. who is your favorite active fighter and tell me what great fights have they taken??

Size matters when the fighter knows how to use it. It's like any other elements like speed, efficiency, psychology, chin resistance, physical condition, appetite for the win... etc

He was well spent by the time Canelo fought him. You can pretend he was a top fighter all you want but everyone else will deal in reality.

Didn’t they rematch and Kovalev comprehensively outboxed E.Alvarez?

Doesn’t matter. It doesn’t erase that he was stopped for the second time and the third time would come less than a year later. But keep pretending if you want.

Smith fought like a chump though not giving it an honest effort then complained about getting punched in the arm. He had huge height and reach advantages but wouldn't work the jab. Keeping the jab in Canelo's face creates opportunities.
