Anyone else think this might be how the rematch plays out. Gives Bivol the chance to go down and be undisputed in a division he says he’s comfortable making.

evens up the playing field for Canelo as it was clear he was very undersized. If Canelo wins it makes the Trilogy back at 175lbs even bigger

Why should Bivol do that? He dominated Canelo, Bivol should make the rules for the rematch and it should stay @ 175. Why is Canelo scared of 175 all of a sudden now lol...

He's not scared of 175 lol, he's Undisputed Champ at 168. He has to defend his Titles.

Well he's delusional then, he should be scared, very scared. 175 is not for him. He will shorten his career if he keeps fighting at that weight.

That would be great, Bivol becoming undisputed at 168 and keeping his belt at 175 to face Beterbiev at the end of the year.

Imagine Bivol, guy who 99% of the Canelo fans did not know exist until this fight, will become two weight undisputed champion in 2022. Just WOW

Because it gives Bivol the chance to become undisputed champion something all fighters dream of. If he wins he then has the ability to go back to 175 and become a 2 time undisputed champion.
Who said Canelo is scared. Guy is a legendary boxer.

Bivol should concentrate on fighting the winner of Beterbiev and Smith Jr in my opinion.

Legendary my ***. If judges scored his fights unbiased he would have 6 loses already.
Trout, Lara and GGG robbed twice.
I don't care also what anyone says, Bivol should stay in his category. If someone wanta to fight him, fight at 175 and thats it.
Bivol has been fighting in that division his whole career. Going either down or up will affect him badly.
He is where he needs to be.
And he also dominates your pathetic corrupt hero.

I think Bivol will want to do that in all honesty, he's not a big light heavy, he can easily make 168 and can get undisputed status in 2 weight classes in his next 2 fights

Bivol himself doesn't think he can "easily" make 168. He said he'd have to think about it.

In pre and post match interviews, Bivol said he wanted to fight Canelo at 168. He also said he would like to fight Canelo for rematch at 168 for his super middle weight titles.

@boxingforum24 I disagree. Canelo challenged Bivol at 175 and Bivol proved he is better than him in this weight division.

This time they should fight at 168, for the rematch, let's see if Bivol beat Canelo with his size at 175 or is Bivol simply a better boxer than Canelo?

But I don't think that Canelo will risk his super middle weight titles at 168.

Exactly, going down in weight makes zero sense to me. You don't go down in weight from 175.

@OldSchoolBoxing Bivol has never fought at 168. When Bivol beat Canelo he earned the right to dance to his own tune. He shouldn't have to go down to a weight he's never campaigned at to prove anything.

Maybe Eddie Hearn has something in the rematch clause to enforce this advantage for Canelo. Stay tuned.

Bivol has now stated in an interview he would consider it for all 4 belts.
