So during this period we had so many classic battles, and so many great fighters. How does Arturo Gatti do against the likes of Chacon, Edwards, Arguello, Navarrete, Limon, Rosario, R.Mayweather, Lockridge, Camacho, Kenty, Ganigan, Mancini, Bramble.

Jesus just naming all these names it's ridiculous how stacked these divisions were. Can you imagine Gatti vs some of these guys ? absolute bloodbaths.

I think he loses more than he wins but it would not shock me if he KOd a few of these guys who on paper should piece him up.

I always had this theory that Gatti's defense was so open to being hit guys just could not help themselves in throwing at him, inadvertently opening themselves up for his power shots.

Gatti was a lot bigger at fight time than most of those guys. He would have looked huge against someone like Chacon, for example, who was always a small super feather.

Got to figure he’d have the edge in power over most of them.

Arguello would do things to him.

Mancini v Gatti would be a war.

I don’t know if he could even make the weight anyway.

After the Mancini-Kim tragedy in 82’ and cancelled Spinks-Muhammad rematch in 83’, they changed to day before weigh ins. On same day weigh-ins, he might have to go to 140, or he would be pretty drained below that.

Arturo’s left eye usually started swelling about the time he got off the scale so day-of probably would help him in that regard.
