Said this like 2 years ago.....................Bivol who is nowhere near as mobile or quick as Calzaghe (although he is quick and mobile in his own right) just teed off on Canelo. Imagine what Calzaghe could get done.
Clen can't win on points and he can't win via stoppage. Super Joe, who had an iron chin, is too fast, skilled, tough and fit for him and, yes, skilful too. He can outbox or outpunch and outfight Clen.
Joe is on a different level to anyone that Canelo has fought at 168. Joe has workrate. skill. iron chin and speed.
He was lucky to scrape past southpaws like Trout & Lara.. Joe was special & for much of his career was plagued with hand problems yet still managed to achieve what he did , which just demonstrates that very fact.. Cameltoe couldn't cope with this: This content is protected
Calzaghe via bell to bell domination. He'd land in excess of 300 shots on Canelo. He's too good in every possible way. He doesn't lose a round.
I've always said that Canelo is way too flat-footed to hang with Zags, and IMO the Bivol fight proved that beyond any doubt. People were reading way too much into getting undisputed in a ghost 168 division.
I genuinely think Calzaghe would make Canelo gas that badly he might even stop him, the stamina and punch output difference is enormous.
Calzaghe was less stiff than Bivol was and would have thrown more v Canelo, he would have been too quick, his counters were faster than Bivol`s were and he tyrew more of them, Bivol isn`t a good counter puncher, he didn`t land many counters v Canelo he just blocked the shots then moved, Calzaghe would have countered every shot Canelo threw, Bivol waited too much.
