I don't pay attention to what fighters say after obvious losses. If it helps them cope or process the defeat then good on them. If Alvarez sincerely believes it though then it won't do him any good in the rematch, since he won't feel the need to change anything, 'cept maybe the judges.
Alvarez bitching about scoring not going his way is one of the most glorious things in boxing right now
He was gonna work the body but he didn't, because he got high, because he got high, because he got high. This content is protected
I'm afraid he can't use this excuse, Canelo explicitly stated he walks around 180lbs and that he'd weigh 178-180lbs fight night (DAZN broadcaster interview, Bivol confirmed he weighed 183lbs fight night). He was weighing fight night at 172-174lbs when he was a freaking 154lber - check the HBO fight night weigh in. At 168lbs Id say he'd weigh high end of 170s, almost or exactly the same weight he'd come fight night against Bivol at 175lbs (he stated 178-180lbs). Why didn't he gas or look bad against 168lbers (in my book he did, plod forwards loop punches over and over occasionally throw an uppercut)? That's right because they were either trash opponents or didn't come to win. Canelo got schooled by a guy marginally bigger than him in size (Bivol is however, clearly taller yes). Canelo just isn't that good
Yeah it kind of was I gave him 1 round...... I was being generous. Where I come from 11-1 or 12-0 is a schooling whichever way you want to try and spin it.
