    Joe Joyce.
I don't know if he has the slowest hands, but he has one of the slowest.

At least in Big George’s second career, just watching him move and punch in isolation was as if the whole fight was set to slow motion replay, .25 speed.

Carlos Monzon is another fighter touted to have slow hands or at least not fast. Personally, I think Carlos’ hand speed was deceptive but also varied, for the most part, methodically steady as she goes but he could pick it up as and when required/appropriate. Interesting that Carlos looked that much faster punching hard and freely on heavy bag.

As I have mentioned, I had a few junior amateur fights...

Haha. Wrong thread or are you submitting yourself into the category? Don’t be so harsh on yourself, I bet your hands were like Ray Leonard’s.

Probably compounded by a lack of technique and propensity to roundhouse punches but Max Baer’s hands in motion weren’t exactly a blur. The 82” reach certainly helped Max in getting his shots home.

True, I reckon they were on par with Leonard... In the fifth with Camacho! ;)

Ha! Ouch! Gotcha. Poor Ray was catching more than he was pitching. I’m still waiting for Ray to slow down enough so I can say I’m equal to or faster.

In his prime, Ray could peel of 5-6 shots in 2 secs. Somewhat similar, I can peel 2 shots off in 5-6 seconds.

Here’s SRL at 62 hitting the heavy bag. That was 3 years ago - I need to check on his current status - maybe I can take him now. Ray - let’s get it on - Uno Mas!

Bennie Briscoe and Alexis Arguello are devastating punchers, yet I do feel like their hands are relatively slow
