A lot of people have been unfair to Khan yes he was deluded but many are and he was very flawed as a fighter.
Having said that Khan was always entertaining win lose or draw. so I wish him the best in retirement.

His fight with Marcos Maidana is still his biggest moment and best win. At that time people were wanting to see these 2 go at it and many people really thought that Maidana would knock him out cold at some point. Khan proved that he was able to hang in there with Maidana, managed to knock him down and withstand his onslaught despite getting hurt. Classic fight.

B plus. His chin was his big downfall of course. Probably beats Prescott and Garcia otherwise. Maybe a little small at WW.

Fantastic career amateur and pro and he was a fearless road warrior who even though he came up short sometimes never shied away from facing the best

Olympic silver medalist and two-time world champion who beat a whole bunch of very good fighters and fought many of the best fighters of his generation.

    Beat Maidana and Kotelnik

Beat Paulie, Zab, Collazo, Alexander, Algieri in their backyards/country

Was robbed against Peterson in his

And fought Terry, Danny and Clenelo in theirs (Vegas is just as much Clenelo's backyard as Mexico is)

Came up short against a shot albeit bigger Brook when shot himself but his big heart was on fully display in that one too

I think this is fair. B+ is reasonable and where I would rate him. Only his chin and ring IQ stopped him from being elite but he would certainly cause a lot of problems for many who weren't haevy handed.

Its possible that his ring iq was affected by his chin. I imagine he is aware of this short comings. Its a shame i liked khan.

Well I think he would engage in dogfights when it wasn't wise yes the chin would be the undoing but it's his brain that's telling him to engage.
I thought he was entertaining and game which is all you can ask for out of a fighter.

The highlights of Amir Khans career

    1. Getting KO'd by Breidis Prescott in 50 seconds
    2. The whole Danny Garcia event (Angel Garcia mentally destroying him, Danny KO'ing him)
    3. Quitting like a coward from a leg punch by Terence Crawford (when he even had 5 minutes to recover)
    4. Getting caught masturbating on Skype
    5. Accusing Anthony Joshua of cheating on his wife
    6. Getting KO'd brutally by Canelo Alvarez looking like he was dead on the floor
    7. Ducking Kell Brook like the plague using every lie and excuse possible for 10 years
    8. The embarrassing obsession and non stop pursuit of Floyd Mayweather
    9. Losing to the mediocre Lamont Peterson and blaming it on a man in a hat
    10. Lying about Sparring Andre Ward
    11. Getting destroyed by Kell Brook in a one sided beatdown after ducking him for 10 years after suddenly becoming interested him when he was shot.

Farewell Amir. Gave us some great nights, win or lose, amateur or pro. I'll never forget him in the last round of the Olympic Final, not settling for a Silver medal but going all out to chin one of the greatest amateurs of all time in Mario Kindelan.
    Enjoy your retirement Champ.

Not a personal favourite of mine I must say but he had a good career and made a lot of money. Blessed with fantastic speed of hand and foot and won some significant victories e.g. Zan Judah, Devon Alexander and crushing defeats e.g. Danny Garcia, Canelo, Peterson etc. Glad for him and his family he is out of the game retired. His wife Faryal is a very good woman. For all his gifts as a fighter he had fatal flaws in a weak chin and poor ring IQ.
