If you had him there before I don't see why thats changed he moved up no tune up fight like everyone else would have and he fought a champ but no I've never had him as the best he's close though
I think Canelo or Estrada will be by the end of their career. I'm not as high on JCC as some people are.
I don't think calling him the Mexican GOAT is ridiculous. His accomplishments stack up favorably to any Mexican boxer in history. I don't hold the loss to Bivol against Canelo any more than I would if Chavez challenged Terry Norris for the Jr. Middleweight title and lost. It's sort of like the LeBron vs. MJ debate. If you look at the stats alone LeBron should get the nod, but MJ is such a cultural force that LeBron would have to supplant him emotionally as much as statistically to topple him as the NBA GOAT.
Never was and wasn’t close. Too many shady decisions. Peds. Belt drop to delay a fight to age an opponent. The need to stack the deck in his favor. Great fighter but not greatest Mexican fighter.
Definitely inside top 2. Its a toss up between him and senior chavez. Personally I have him better but I wont argue it with anyone.
I think Canelo will finish in Mexico’s top 3. He has years ahead of him and has had a great career so far. Chavez will probably always be no. 1. I feel that Salvador Sanchez would’ve been no. 1 if he had lived.
He never was. Jesus. JCC, Salvador Sanchez are two that immediately come to mind when anyone hears the phrase "Greatest Mexican Fighter"
