Hearns only fought one of the top guys at 147 and he got stopped. Stop trying to spin this like he fought them all.

    Cuevas was Porter level.

Hearns was dried out and inexperienced at 147, hence more vulnerable. Hence, he got stopped.

Oscar was among the best fighters on the planet when Shane beat him. Cuevas never was. Margarito was a huge guy who was cutting with day before weigh ins and steam rolling guys. Cueves was a midget.

I'd give Forrest a great shot at beating Barkley.

If you think that, I think this conversation is over. Thanks for the exchange.

Good. I was about to end the conversation because it’s completely disingenuous to try to claim that Hearns has a top ten welter resume. H2h, sure. Resume is just a fan driven narrative.

Btw Porter beat Devon Alexander, Ugas, D Garcia, Berto, Broner, Malignaggi, and Usyk in the ams.

He went to war w top tier guys like Spence and Crawford instead of getting blown out like Cuevas.

Good choice as he's neither lived the era nor studied it properly.

You sound a little gossipy and upset.

I'm not sure how you'd garner that. Actually didn't you call DP gossipy the other day? Is it that time of the month again? It seems to be daily.

Yeah, Hearns's high ranking stood out to me too. Long time chanpions like Griffith and Mayweather should probably also be higher.

I think we’d objectively have to put Ricardo Mayorga ahead of Hearns on resume at 147. The man knocked out Six Heads and beat Forrest twice, unifying titles. This is surely better than beating Cuevas, Benitez’s stepping stones, and getting stopped by Leonard.

It’s true that Hearns was among the best h2h at welter, but it’s sad how fandom prevents posters from admitting how limited his 147 resume is.

Personally, I don't give a toss about fantasy h2h, but I give Hearns lots of credit for crushing Cuevas like that. But still, though, closer to Pac (whose beat down of for example Cotto was absolutely immense) at WW than Mayweather, I think.

Pac has the title defenses that Hearns lacks. He beat Bradley twice, who was on pfp lists, arguably three times, and somehow topped Thurman while way past it.
