Has anyone been to the evening with Froch and Groves?

Thinking about grabbing a couple tickets for one of their nights later on this year. Anybody been? If so is it worth it? Are these evening meet and greets ever worth it? Never been to one myself.

Went to one with Mayweather 2 years ago and paid for a photo, he was meant to be there at 2.30 for photos and rocked up at 6... to pass the time they got Stefy Bull and Kid Galahad up on stage so I spent the next 3 hours at the bar and couldn’t remember anything of what Mayweather said

You couldn't give me a ticket, Groves is ok, but imagine 2 hours with Froch blowing his own trumpet, how he " smashed him to bits " or " knocking 7 bells out of him " bleating on about how Joe was afraid of him, how he would have beaten him, blah, blah, no thanks. stay safe guys.

Ain’t these guys got enough money to be having to do this really? I would probably go if it was 20 quid or summit but 80 quid a ticket really?

I do think this is a really interesting thread starter - genuinely. I don’t see the point in these things personally, especially as I have read and watched almost everything about the feud. Plus these two strike me as a couple of charlatans who will milk it for a few quid.

But the ‘evening with’ stuff - does anyone feel like they have got value from it. It’s not a trick question, just interested.

I think there's a wide range of quality. I know a guy who went to one with Marvin Hagler and has a cracking photo with him, but on the other hand John Fury is now on this circuit...

They make me cringe. Tyson Fury, Joshua etc does them and it's baffling to me why someone in their prime would want the arse licking the people give them at these sorts of things

I get why somebody retired who maybe didn’t make mega millions would do these things but I couldn’t understand why Fury was doing them last year after making tens of millions of pounds each of the past few years.

Because despite what Fury, man of the people, says he is. He is as hungry as they come for cash. Don't let him make you think otherwise

The evening with Carl Frampton last month was decent. £75 but that included dinner, some drink, a comedy turn, raffle entry, etc - and of course Carl's a good lad so stayed behind for ages doing photos, videos, autographs and so on.

Especially when Fury doesn’t care about money as he still has an old Passat and still puts the bins out.

Yes I’ve been and it was a really good night, definitely worth heading along too.

Both of them were gents and had a good crack with each other and everyone there.

Frampton is one of the few I'd want to go and listen to, good talker who doesn't turn every story into one about himself. Saying that I'm enquiring about an evening featuring Carl Froch who wrote the flipping book on making everything an anecdote about himself haha
