Yeah, the only champion he'd have any chance against is Makabu but he wouldn't be able to stand up to Makabu's power over 12 rounds. While in theory he has the power to hurt Makabu, he has lost too much sharpness and I fear the days of Kovalev being the Krusher are over - he would try to jab and 1-2 his way to a decision win.

Other CW champs don't even require discussion, Goulamiriam is way too big and strong, Kov wouldn't even get close to Okolie due to a massive height/reach disadvantage, and Briedis is both too tough and (compared to this version of Kov) too skilled.

There's a chance he could possibly catch Makabu with something big and take him out as the later has been hurt or hurt and stopped a bunch of times but I don't see it

Oklie's freakish size, dimensions and horribly awkward and ugly style are nightmare for CWs to deal with let alone washed up old LHWs. Okolie's type of boxing should be illegal and I'd hate to see a LHW have to try and deal with that

Goulamirian is just way too big and strong and Briedis way too powerful

Kovalev stopped drinking? Looked pretty good for his age.
