    Boxers who were old, fat, lost all their foot and hand speed. But still beat younger fighters by using ring iq, experience and willpower?

    How could I forget? I added him now, I didn’t add in Jersey Joe because he was actually at his best when he was old, whereas the fighters on my list weren’t in their prime when they were old, but were still world level

    True, and he even gets dumped on for beating guys who weren't "prime" even though they were closer to their prime than he was!

    Eddie Perkins, despite being mid-thirties and a pro for 15 years he was still too savvy for Angel Espada, Clyde Gray, Armando Muniz and Ryu Sorimachi. All of whom received title shots except for Eddie. Even Johann Orsolics was signed to fight Napoles but in a case of very poor decision-making, his camp decided to take on old Eddie before the already scheduled title fight. Eddie knocks him kicking in 4 rounds but instead of replacing Orsolics with Eddie, they just canceled the title bout.

    Those welterweights that you have mentioned were great fighters in their heyday of the 1970's, Eddie Perkins had a career dating back to the 1950's.
