Some of you are really underrating Zoo. Pac does not have the speed nor punching power @ 140(as was pointed out) to stop Tszyu. Judah's speed bothered Kostya for 1 round. Pac is not sleek enough to handle the in-your-face pressure of Tszyu nor is he talented enough to outbox him. KT takes this one easily, IMO.
Not underrating KT. KT was not a great pressure fighter at all. He was a great boxer who was very good at cutting off the ring. Getting in his face was more effective than boxing him. He destroyed boxers because he had great power on the end of his punches and incredible timing. It's not underrating another fighter to say he loses every once in a while. And Pacquiao, despite the hate PacD inspires in him, is overall a greater fighter than KT IMO. Not at 140, and most guys KT beat at 140 who were good would beat Pacquiao there. I am simply saying his style could trouble him if he brawled, which was not KT's most effective style.
I think you're way off on this one. This is Pac at 140.. the loss of power, strength, speed, etc. is huge. Hatton is a strong, natural 140 pounder who has very effective rough housing tactics inside and has much better overall inside fighting skill than Pac. Pac is very limited inside and at 140 he lacks physical strength to say the least. Pac is not capable of smothering Tszyu the way Hatton did. He doesn't fight that way, his style isn't fighting at close range the way Ricky does. If they were to brawl, any power shot Tszyu lands would impact Pac, simply because of how small he is at 140. And once Pac would back up like he usually does when getting attacked by opponents in smaller weightclasses, Tszyu would follow up with more punches and Pac would get caught at the of a big right hand or anything else that lands. His defense and balance is bad when he's being pushed back and there's no way he's not being pushed back if the two were to brawl. I can't understand how you think Pac could have any advantage in this fight or any chance of winning in a brawl. He's tiny at 140 and completely ineffective with his style.
KG, what exactly inspired this new found confidence in PAC past 135? Was it his victory over Diaz:huh
"Cotto & Margarito are too inexperience like Valero. They haven't Koed any Legends yet. They're not ready for Pac." This has to be the single most absurdly ridiculous frighteningly asinine but charming in its simpleness statement I have ever read on this ****en site! :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
Not at all. I just think pressure fighters trouble KT. I favor KT to win. I said I think if KT brawled he may lose due to work rate.
I just don't see that. THe only two fighters to have defeated KT were not really pressure fighters but swarmers. Pac fights nothing like that. "pressure fighters" like Chavez and Ruelas(although past their prime) were easy prey for Kostya. And let's not forget Tszyu's thorough outboxing of Tackie!
I know..... I was actually just messin with you guys:deal Trying to come up with a plausible argument was becoming too much work to pull of the trick though so I'm droppin it:yep I figure I have 2 more days here....I'm just gonna screw around a bit.
**** you for making me actually discuss this seriously with you.. If it was someone else, I would just ignore it or call the person an idiot. Damn, I was thinking you might be joking.. but you usually don't joke around like that so I had to try to make some sense of it. Are you planning on coming back? :| All of the best ESB posters are running away from here.
Yah guys, I'm out after the Cotto-Margarito fight....of my own accord, not because of a bet. Sorry for messin with ya, but when else was I gonna get a chance? For the record, Pacquiao's in and out style would get him caught on the way "out" and stopped most likely. The only thing I wasn't joking about is I do believe Pacquiao is a greater fighter historically than KT.
Pac's Strong showing makes KG quit. He now see Hatton has no chance with Pac. He don't wanna be embarass after Pac KOs Hatton. Don't forget to visit once in a while. How about give an appreciation speech after Pac beat DLH & Hatton.
I'm honestly not sure you're smart enough to follow this: I picked Pacquiao to win by KO in 4 over Diaz. So if he did exactly what I thought he would, even taking longer than I predicted, it wouldn't make much sense that his perfomance "scared" me and made me "quit". It didn't surprise me at all....in other words, I knew going in what he would do to Diaz, and if I didn't waver on my Hatton pick when I picked Pacquiao KO 4 over Diaz, why would I suddenly get scared about my pick after Pacquiao KO 9 over Diaz? That was just a stupid thing to post PacD. And embarrassed? After all I have posted on this forum, personal things at that, you think making a wrong prediction would embarass me? I don't run from my wrong predictions and make excuses.....unlike someone I know.
