He didn't throw a punch in that fight took a few body punches, a right hand that didn't all look that damaging then pulled out. I've literally seen Yildrim land more punches on Canelo in sparring. Yildrim was not scared of Canelo, he just came to lose as did other opponents. When so many opponents come to lose you question what's going on. Yildrim threw more punches at Eubank as he was getting brutally pinged around and knocked out. But was scared to throw and land one punch on Canelo. Lmao sure
Yildirim is a bum. He lost to 50yo Lolenga Mock but got a robbery. He was stopped two weeks ago by some bum. What do you expect from a guy of his caliber? If you pick up a random guy from the stances and put him in with Clenelo he won't throw any punches either. There was no fix, it was just a mismatch.
Canelo isn't some magician expert counterpuncher. He's a good counterpuncher. You don't just stop throwing punches at a counterpuncher. Better counterpuncher have face much fiercer resistance. Yildrim threw and landed heavier punches against Dirrell and Cullen before and after fights with Clenelo. He was somewhat competitive with Dirrell. And Cullen landed heavy shots (they look heavier than Canelo's tbh wobbling him on occasions) on Yildrim yet he kept coming forward. Yildrim didn't throw punches yet alone try to land on Clen and just gave up after taking barely any damage. Yet this was a guy who was throwing punches like a madamn trying to hit eubank whilst he was getting his head clocked back and forth. Yeah he could have came to lose on his own accord but I doubt it.
