My exact thoughts too mate. Some of the rounds were close and you could argue it either way but for me Richards won this. Buatsi did nothing but complain throughout the fight too. It is what it is.

Commentary was so disgraceful, declaring Richards hurt when he wasn't, going out of their way to outright deny his landed shots ("Richards tries to land the right hand") , and so on, all night

    I had:
    Round 1 Drawn 10-10,
    Round 2 Richards 10-9,
    Round 3 Richards 10-9
    Round 4 Buatsi 10-9, close
    Round 5 Buatsi 10-9, close
    Round 6 Buatsi 10-9,
    Round 7 Richards 10-9, close
    Round 8 Richards 10-9
    Round 9 Richards 10-9, close
    Round 10 Buatsi 10-9
    Round 11 Richards 10-9
    Round 12 Buatsi 10-9

    115-114 Richards

Cards were ok though, Buatsi by a round or two is also entirely reasonable.

Of course E-Hearn wants to bring Bivol over here. I know they can't fight on Russia but even if they could he still would be pushing hard for it. Not too keen on his boys travelling to their opponent's backyards though. Snakey creep

    Most people had Richards winning.

I had no favourite going into this, so no bias in my observation. But I thought it was clear for Richards, its hard to see see through all the commentary and crowd that would hype up anything Buatsi threw.

Yeah what's this "Richards gave Bivol problems" B.S. narrative? The complaint of that fight was "Why won't Bivol finish this guy when he clearly can right here...and here...and here...and..."

Buatsi should fight Lyndon Arthur, Callum Johnson or Umar Salamov while he waits for Bivol to rematch Canelo

Not so sure about Callum, unfortunately. He's been out a while and didn't look great last time. I think he could get up for it and do it - and definitely could if he was still in his prime, but now? Eh, maybe not. Buatsi is probably a slight favourite nowadays IMO. He'd look to counter Johnson's left hook with that overhand, and there's only so many times he can land that without significance. Then again, he still has to avoid the hook...

Yarde vs Buatsi is the inaugural next step IMO, now Yarde has settled business with his own domestic rival. I think that's a quality fight. Buatsi is more skilled and talented, but not as big or powerful. Yarde's tough and got a decent engine. I think he's got a great chance if he bulldozes Buatsi with as little care as he did Lyndon Arthur.

I don't it even needs to be said what Joe would do to any of these guys

Of course Buatsi wants the Bivol fight at O2, he'll start the fight 4 rounds ahead.
