Buatsi . It was a competitive fight but you would struggle to give Richards more than 4 rounds. Buatsi looks decent, with a piston like jab when he uses it and his chin held up better than expected. I can't see him beating Bivol or Biterbiev. Hard to gauge just how good he is based on what we have seen. He needs more challenges and his power doesn't seem to be what people tried to make out. Richards is around euro level but there are some tasty domestic clashes out there for him. He always looks 1 punch away from disaster, maybe its the hair that gives that sort of feeling? Hearn is talking about beterbiev but why not match Buatsi with Smith? That's winnable and will do well over here.
I thought Buatsi looked really good for the first half, then stamina made him get sloppy. Plus the way he shuts down and has a rest after a big attack is a problem. It was a clear win though.
It was fairly from Buatsi but I still am not convinced he is taking the last step up in the world elite. There are glimpses of something really good but defensively he is too bad. I have not gotten wiser on Buatsi after Saturday night.
The Callum Johnson that fought Beterbiev in 2018 would have utterly dominated this crop of british light heavys. Shame his career has stalled
His whole career has been stalled, pro 12 years and large spells of inactivity, could have done so much more.
Well let's just say Buatsi won't beat Smith, Beterbiev and Bivol. Deep down, he and his team know this.
Buatsi and it isn’t the most difficult one to score. Richards had his moments too. Yarde beats both presently in my opinion.
Buatsi. Richards had some good moments and made most rounds competitive but looking at the 12 rounds as a whole, Buatsi was more dominant more often.
