Apparently Joyce is chief support but surely to sell tickets you’ll have to put him main event and bill it as so.

totally agree. Putting out a promotion of Joyce fighting nobody looks ridiculous.

Any rumours on Joyce's potential opponent?

Must be a tick over keep busy fight against a journeyman if he's not main event.

Johnson vs Mikhalkin is a decent fight.

Johnson was supposed to fight Mikhalkin two years ago on the Usyk Chisora card two years ago but it got cancelled for the European Title.

Warren should have made the Johnson Yarde fight. Also looks like Joseph Parker will fight Dillian Whyte instead of Joyce instead.

The 3 fights listed on the poster are all very good fights. If they can get Joyce a good fight, than it’s an excellent card.

I expect this to be a Simon kean or Camkiran type matchmaking from Warren. Bigger issue is they are in a tough place if Parker does go the Whyte route. Which is a bigger payday and platform.

I would expect some straight Warren Takam or Kuzmin matchmaking for then. Don’t risk the WBO maid that becomes due in 2023/24

Joyce must be fighting someone in the top 10 rankings. Someone like Ruiz or even Sanchez. I doubt it though as he's not the billed main event fight.

Parker- Whyte is complete nonsense and very unlikely to happen.

Who in their right mind is going to put up the money for a nothing rematch, especially as Whyte is just coming off KO defeat, after a poor display.

Some like Sky who are desperate for PPV headliners.

not saying it should be. But if you are Sky and trying to get whyte. They don’t have too much else to offer him

The fight doesn’t make any sense - no way Sky would throw money at it IMO. There’s no selling point, and sadly Whyte will now be seen as damaged goods by the casuals who would need to be roped in to make it work.

Best thing Dillian can do is try to sign for Hearn/Frank or Shalom in a 2 fight deal (he’s not in the position to do the fight by fight approach anymore and needs to be protected in a contract after that loss).

Fight a reasonable opponent off PPV, like a Takam and smash him to pieces. After that look to cash out against a name on PPV

That BT Sport promo with Joyce reading a dictionary with Susie Dent then saying lots of big words that together make no sense at a fake press conference is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen any broadcaster do. I get the idea behind it but they truly F'd up the execution/delivery.

Hmm, it could be that Parker expects Fury to drop or be stripped of the WBC. Then
Parker v Whyte is possibly one fight removed from the WBC title bout v Wilder.

Sulaiman turned his nose up at Joyce v Parker and was suggesting it was to be a WBO final eliminator, to the exclusion of the WBC.

    WBC
    Wilder #1
    Joyce #2
    Parker #3

This was very strange as at the same time he was talking about Wilder being one half of a fight for the WBC title.

Then Joyce v Parker falls through...

Maybe Parker v Whyte is an angle to get to a fight against Wilder for the WBC title.
