    paquaio did clean oscar clock
making oscar come down to 147 after 10 years of being 154
then he had a rehydration clause so oscar weighed 145 at the weigh in
and rehydrated to 147 the day of the fight......Thats 2 pounds!!!!!!! Oscar ate ice in the ring walk, the announcers said ''freddy roach was confident in a win'' stating he smiled when saying he saw iv marks in oscars arms.

Thats oscar trying to rehydrate without going past 147 breaking his rehydration clause.
While Paquaio Shamelessly came in weighing more than oscar de la hoya

someone bragged about paquaio beating oscar down ''Cleaning his clock'' Maybe some folks intentionally forget all of this.
There is so much more to the many wins of paquiao where theres a challenge. This is 1.

I remember all of this, Freddie saying that about the needle tracks, Oscar weighing in at 147 on fight night unofficially… Oscar looked like s**t, so dumb for agreeing to it.

Its the Top Rank way, he was old an past his prime when some else fought him couple years earlier at his natural weight, yet they brag about this?!?!?!? this is horrible.

do you remember oscar chewing on ice in thte ring walk?

Do you remember Paquaio teasing Oscar about the weight draining/rehydration clause by having some one deliver a huge delicious looking chocolate cake to oscars gym?
    ''Were gonna eat it'' Oscar
Then they show him throwing it on the ground in the parking lot?
They knew this was foul but like I said its just 1 of paquiao fights. Many other stories. This one I seen someone brag about

I don’t remember the ice and whatnot but I believe it.

I grew to love Manny after that but that was the worst catchweighting I’ve seen. Mayweather Canelo was bad, but at least Canelo was young.

De La Hoya was weight drained to ****. No excuse tho it was a great win and put Pacquaio on the P4P map.

Oscar was the A-side. How could Pacquiao "make DLH" do anything ? Oscar gambled and messed up.

You got a link proving there was a hydration clause. To my knowledge there was no such clause.

I thought De La Hoya didn't make the weight sensibly and so ended up suffering chronic dehydration which results in the body being unable to hydrate even when taking in plenty of fluids.

https://driphydration.com/blog/chronic-dehydration-treatment/#:~:text=Chronic dehydration occurs when a,, activity levels, and genetics.

While no doubt De La Hoya was dead at the weight many found this fight offensive and nothing but a money grab as Pac was seen as far too small to even be competitive. Even after the fight people thought it was just down to Oscar being dead at the weight but Pac's later performances against the likes of Cotto and Margarito proved it wasn't a fluke and Pac was legit at the higher weight.

I’m stupider for having read the OP. It represents everything that’s wrong with the internet, democracy, the Dewey decimal system and the pro life movement.

to my knowledge rehydration clauses are signed agreements that are not made public, thats what Canelo fans told me trying to say mayweather had canelo on a rehydration clause but I know mayweather didnt have a rehydration clause because canelo rehydrated to 165 which makes no sense for someone on a rehydration clause to allow someone to rehydrate 15 pounds obviously they were not around for the build up of this fight and watched on youtube recently as it showed mayweather weighed 150 on fight not and canelo weighed 165 plus i saw canelo said he was asked and decline a rehydration clause

So Im asking you to be just as intelligent what fight have you seen were a guy has rehydrated to the weight limit ? No more, needed ivs? does it make sense for a guy to come down from 154 to 147 and to not hydrate to atleast his natural weight? he didnt eat a plate of food for some reason? didnt get a glass of water? just went to the iv bag because he wanted to NOT rehydrate? You a link to see that?
I will look but all the conclusion people jump to for floyd but paquiao so much proof is needed.

Paquiao came in heavier than Oscar de la hoya. The Flyweight was bigger than the guy that fought at middleweight

we need a copy of the rehydration clause as proof?

I didnt think the catchweight for canelo was bad because it was 152 and the fight right before that canelo weighed 153.
before that year canelo fought a 151(hatton) before that he was at 147.
So at the time canelo was really only a handful of fights at 154.
plus mayweather only weighed 150 he actually lost a half a pound before the fight.

Paquaio however weight drained a guy that was at 154 for 10 years to 147 then had the nerve to be heavier on fight night

and managed to be bigger on fight night?

you gone say there was no clause too or are you saying its all ok because paquiao came up 2 weight classes.
Mikey Garcia wouldv beat spence if he made spence come down to 140 and he had to weigh 140 on fight n night

    it was all optics
