    Voted yes.

He has the size, power, chin and engine to beat anyone not named Tyson Fury. Would demolish a Whyte, Ruiz, or Chisora and I back him to beat Parker too. I think it's clear at this stage Parker is a reasonably modest puncher and a small ish HW- does not have the attributes to trouble Joe over 12 rounds. Don't see him outboxing him either in a jab fest, as Joe can walk him down when things slow down past the mid way point onwards.

Joe does not rely on speed anyway so age will not affect him there too badly. He won't lose any of his power either. Punch resistance- yes age is a factor but if we are talking 18 months to 2 years he won't lose anything there either as he has not had a long or punishing pro career, quite the opposite in fact.

He is 36 years old, but with very few miles on the clock as far as I am concerned.

His main issue has been a stop start career with too many training set up and promotional/management changes which have eaten up time and left him frustrated and in limbo at times. He is not the easiest fighter in the world to promote, that's for sure.

I hope he wins a world title and earns the big bucks he seems to be a gentleman and a throwback old school sort of fighter.

I'd just like to see him busier at this point.

He's a likeable lad, I'd like to se him in some big fights, I like him and he's very underated by lots of people.

    Tough fight for anyone.

I said no just because of politics.

Already late 30s and the belts are all tied up until at least 2023. Probably.

All depends whether the belts get scattered. With AJ/Usyk and Fury realistically tied up until late 2023 with each other. I predict we’ll see a Joyce v Dubois 2 for the WBA regular strap if that counts?

Maybe with one of the lesser straps or trinkets, but legitimately, I don't see it

    I do rate him though

    Beltholder, possibly.
    World champ, unlikely.

If the belts get split up then Joyce definitely has a chance.

fury and usyk beat him on volume and elusiveness.

He’s far too open for me and gets stopped by AJ

Everyone else he beats right now imo

Hopefully, just wish he was busier.

Not got the persona to build demand for a title in the next few years so needs to concentrate on regular fights to get in the position.

    Love JJ as a heavyweight.
Will be a problem for anyone with his engine .
If he had a personality he would be a superstar

Same goes for Daniel Dubois. I guess you just can't coach personality/charisma.

I do think Joyce is very likeable and he’s even poking fun at himself now re the charisma. Dubois on the other hand, I’m not sold.

Joyce being open and easy to hit is something that I think has been misunderstood and exaggerated to a degree. Whilst he is clearly no Floyd Mayweather, he is not a walking target either.

When he is fighting a Stiverne or a Lenroy Thomas he marches forward and just batters them into submission- and we love it when he does. When he feels his opponent has absolutely nothing to worry him with and the punches just bounce of him he quite literally demolishes them with no regard for what is coming back.

When he fights a Dubois though who quite clearly is a massive puncher he did nothing of the sort, in fact his approach could not have been more different. Was he open and easy to hit there- no, far from it. Dubois also has quite fast hands for a big HW, yet apart from a few moments in round 2-3 Joe evaded most of Daniels power shots, worked his jab, and was never hurt or troubled as his defence held up. If you watch him closely he is a master of 'riding' shots and taking the sting out of them, he prefers that to just taking them on the gloves as he does not like to fight with a very high guard. This makes him look open, but trust me, when Joe has a big puncher in front of him he is smart and will take very few clean shots.

He is more open that AJ yes, but AJ has far, far lower punch resistance. In the HW division more than anywhere else that is a problem. I think AJ's fragility both physically and now mentally balances out any crudeness Joe has or any inferior defence.

AJ vs Joyce is a 50%-50% fight at best, and that is being slightly generous to Joshua.

I myself would currently give Joe the nod as I do think post Ruiz AJ has sadly not been the same fighter or the same person.

    Correct.

These are B-Listers at best. Dubois could make the step up in time given he has age - and lots of it - on his side.

JJJ needs to fight an A-Lister. Or one of these unbeaten Americans like Anderson.

    Time waits for no man.

    Good luck, Joe.

Joyce is in an awkward position as no one really wants to fight him. He needs to become mandatory and hopefully get a shot but can't wait around forever like Whyte did. All the changes in his promoters hasn't helped him, either. Nonetheless, he's been fast-tracked well. The next two years/three fights are vital for him. He needs to be fighting top 5-10 ranked fighters.
