Back then there was Duran, Salvador Sanchez, Aaron Pryor, Alexis Arguello, Chavez and Camacho. If Floyd had been born the same yeaer as one of these fighters how would his career have turned out? I mention Sanchez because he might have eventually moved up to super-feather had he of lived long enough.

Well Uncle Roger would have had a few interesting challenges on this timeline: Napoles, Rodriguez, Griffith, Cokes, Atkins, Ortiz, Brown, Locche, Carter, Williams, Montgomery, Elorde, Saddler and Pep...

I'm not sure he'd get past any of those names in their respective primes. That said, Floyd is a top 15 pfp ATG for sure imo.

People need to understand that Floyd has more than enough talent to keep up with the fighters during that time.

Duran beats him. Probably Chavez too.

    Maybe Pryor.

Arguello would also be competitive against him. Although I would lean towards Mayweather winning.

I think he beats Camacho and Sanchez.

So still a great boxer, hall of famer, etc, but he wouldn't have the same aura that he has nowadays.
