Here is the Hines-Pascual fight. Not sure why Pascual packed it in after 2 rounds. He certainly seemed game throughout. He ate some shots from Hines in that 2nd round, but fed Hines some of his own. Can't really say that Hines looks like he will make serious waves in the division, though he's coming off a one-year layoff.

In an IFL TV interview a few days ago, Eddie Hearn stated that Adam Kownacki has yet to sign a contract for the announced July 9th fight with Derek Chisora and that Hearn was rapidly lowing patience.

Pure speculation on my part, but maybe Kownacki will instead be announced as Deontay Wilder's comeback opponent?

James McKenzie (aka "Kenzie") Morrison moved to 20-0-2 with a TKO 5 victory over fellow 2nd generation HW - Hasim Rahman Jr. The fight took place on the April 29th "Sons of Legends" card.

Heading into this fight, neither fighter had had a really meaningful victory on their CV. It seems like Rahman Jr carefully outboxed Morrison for the first 2-3 rounds until a somewhat frustrated Morrison decided to get more aggressive. He dropped Rahman Jr in the 5th round and it seemed like Rahman Jr's head was still swimming when the fight resumed. When Morrison tore into him seconds later, the ref stopped the fight. Popular opinion (not to mention Rahman Jr's!) suggests the stoppage was premature, but it doesn't look like Rahman was throwing any counters at the time of the stoppage. Tough call.

I don't think anybody saw all that much of a future for Rahman Jr, but it's a nice-looking win for Morrison that will likely get his name raised for future big fights - at least in the USA. In any case, it's kind of surprising that he's emerged as the more promising of Tommy Morrison's progeny, rather than Trey Lippe. Nobody would have predicted that in 2016, I'm sure!

Can't say Kenzie Morrison is showing much in the way of defense. A hereditary trait he shares with his half-brother, I'd guess.

According to Boxrec, it looks like George Arias (17-0-0) has replaced Elvis Munoz Garcia as Alante Green's opponent on the June 10th "Shobox New Generation" card. I'm not sure of the reason for the change.

Arias - like Green - is a smaller HW and he most recently outpointed Cassius Chaney for a SD win (which, IMO, was wider than the judges scored it, though not quite dominant). Arias certainly enters this fight as a better-known quantity than Garcia and has definitely faced better opposition at HW than Green has...which is why I feel inclined to pick George to win here.

Regardless of the outcome, it's difficult to see what either man hopes to accomplish as a HW given their relative lack of size and (one assumes) power. Green seems better-suited to Cruiser and Arias would seem to be a good fit for Bridger. But you can't make any money as a Cruiser in the USA at the moment and Bridgerweight is scarcely a thing anywhere in the world unless your name is Oscar Rivas. So, I guess what they hope to accomplish is to earn a living....so Heavyweight it is.

It now looks like Hemi Ahio's opponent will be Christian Tsoye (5-4-2, 4 KO), instead of Joe Jones on the Haney-Kambosos undercard. Perhaps Mr. Jones didn't like the thought of having to take a long plane ride home feeling less than his best and came to his senses before Ahio could rob him of them.

Wow, this really makes Parker look like crap. We all know that he lost one to Del Boy, and now his win over Fa pales in comparison to that of spy young contender Lucas Browne's.

I'm not a boxing trainer or anything...

But if I've got a 43 year-old slugger opponent who probably hasn't got more than a couple useful rounds in him - I'm probably looking for him to end it with a bomb early. And I'm definitely not going to just stand directly in front of him and kind of paw at him with my jab like Fa did.

    SMDH.

Parker made a seven course meal out of Fa and couldn't finish him. It's a shame, but Parker really has got a unique talent for looking bad on any given fight night without even stepping in the ring.

If the Joe Joyce fight falls through (which is looking more likely by the day) - who would bet against him fighting Lucas Browne next?

Funnily enough it would probably sell down here now that Browne KO'd Fa. Wouldn't suprise me at all.
