Everyone definitely wasn't calling him a "hard hitter" and technically he was the top dog, but pretty much everyone also saw him as a vulnerable Champion. He did get called a warrior, however, and I don't think the Haney performance will change that perception.

He's in contention with guys like Salas. He's still a good fighter, though.

I don't know about that ... but he's one of the richest lightweight champions in history.

Not too many lightweights made $10 million for one title defense, if any. I can't recall any off the top of my head.

And he has a rematch clause.

George didn't look too unhappy when the fight was over.

Many raved about how he knocked down Teo and busted up his face, they predicted he will knock out Haney due to having the superior power. That was def one of the qualities many boasted about pre-Haney fight.

I was surprised with how badly he fought. Haney doesn’t look like anything real special. Sure he had size and reach and an excellent jab. Bought the way Kambosos just settled in to it and sat in the wrong range all night to play to Haney’s strengths was extremely disappointing. Kambosos really showed that he was not at the level of the performance he put in against Lopez. I thought after round 2 when he landed a couple of good punches he would get more aggressive but he just settled in. No urgency. These rematch clauses are no good. Totally killed any kind of desperation

Yes he is. He should have made serious troubles for Haney.

Devin Haney deserves all the credit in the world for a masterful display of boxing.

Pimp C, we know styles make fights. Kamboses counter punched an overly aggressive Lopez who seemed too intent on a knockout. Against Haney, Devin was the counter puncher and the far superior boxer.
