Well... since Taylor is a southpaw, and isn't a switch hitter. I don't think he has much of a choice.

Now that you've fixed the title... no, he's not facing the more skilled far more dangerous Jose Zepeda as preparation for Catterall. He's facing him because he's a hell of a fighter, and if he beats him, he'll look really good on his resume.

One thing i know is that if Taylor fights the way he did against Cat, Zepeda is going to whoop his ass. Maybe even stop him.

Taylor needs to change something. I don’t buy the drain theory, perhaps his trainers are letting him down or perhaps it was just fighting infront of his home-crowd. Whatever happened in that last fight, he can’t let happen again.

Zepeda has fallen in love with his power. He’s going to come in looking for the KO.

Zepeda is average. Josh beats him and gets little credit from me.

    Overrated taylor. Overrated as F.

And he looks like a nice guy, I like him. But he's overrated as F.

Oh, btw, the reason why he's killing himself to make the weight (a weight he cant do anymore without killing himself) is because if he goes up to welter it will be his oponent the one killing him instead. Any top welter puts taylor in a long term coma.

Jose Pedraza (y'know... Tank's best win), Ivan Baranchyk and in most people's estimation, Jose Ramirez/

But he descioned him in a competitive fight years after Tank obliterated him with a size advantage. Pedraza was undefeated with momentum before fighting Tank. You know how boxing works. Baranchyk is just average and Ramírez fight was close a fight he lost. I overrated Ramírez too, dude went life and death against like a 35+ year old Postol, years after Crawford 12-0 toyed with him.

Id actually say underrated .. for comparison.. consider that he turned pro the same year as i.e Haney (both have only been pro since 2015) but unified in just 18 fights whereas it took an email & 28 fights for Haney.. & apart from the Catterall fight he has looked far more devastating and dominant as well against overall deeper opposition.. Haney struggles against midgets like Diaz.. If Taylor beats Zepeda he's pretty much cleared out a division.. Kambosos is Haneys legacy to date , Linares is spent.. he needs to rematch Caterall yes but his overall body of work is impressive. Another comparison.. Charlo.. despite being almost the same age the American has been professional 8 years longer than Josh, has had twice as many fights as well yet only just fully unified.. yet look at the praise he gets.. despite struggling on many occasion .. Taylor is actually underrated and underappreciated imo .. it's because of his last fight that ppl are shitting on him , but there's not many current fighters that can replicate what he's done in his career other than generational talents like Usyk

Based on pushing Ramirez to the brink , beating the career out of Baranchyk and outclassing a much more seasoned Pedraza .. who's twinks best win still.. ye you dropped Ramirez the moment he lost to Taylor didn't u.. we know what's up .. Zepeda is better than most of the scrubs Davis has fought
