Also we need to mention the great Don Curry. Yes his prime was painfully short. Also we need to reference Mike McCallum and the remains of Roberto Duran though he was very much the fighter of the 70s maybe the greatest ever.

Olu, Curry was certainly a terrific fighter. I’ll never forget his beautiful ko of Milton McCrory for the undisputed welterweight championship.

Hello Chris. Spinks over Hagler? Hearns over Sanchez? Very surprising. Of course no. 1 is the obvious choice.

Overall, I say Hagler over Spinks, but that’s factoring in his 1970’s. Although his reign was 1980’s, I think Spinks might even edge him out due to his lineal heavyweight win and of course his undisputed run at 175.

It’s really remarkable how he declined so quickly. I don’t know if he had issues making 147 or what. He seemed to be on his way to all time great status.

White Bomber, who would be on your top 15 list from the ‘80s?

Yeah he probably stayed to long at 147 and they totally underestimated the Raggamuffin man in Lloyd Honeyghan thinking he was another British stiff not realising he was a proper operator.
