What's with Arslanbek?

Poor promotion.

He was signed to Golden Boy for a while but it seems Oscar snorting cocaine and forgot he had other fighters to promote.

 

He's ranked by the WBC and the WBA, so him vs someone who is also ranked by both of those sanctioning bodies would be the most logical deal. I'm mainly thinking about guys like Bakole and Helenius, who are probably seen as high risk/low reward fights by most guys. Those would be 2 great potential slugfests.
Guys like Ruiz and Parker would be great step-up fights for him, but no way those 2 will fight him, it's a high risk/low reward fight for high profile guys.

 

I don't know what's up with Arslanbek, but he's got a funny head quirk, it could give him probably troubles. He has to do it like every 2 seconds when he's not engaged.
They should try to get a fight against Otto Wallinor Takam.

 

Mak's problem is that he isn't hooked up with a high-powered promoter like Hearn, Di Bella, Arum, etc.

That means he's low-reward. Since he's (obviously) high-risk, too, he's not going to get big-name fights.

There will probably be some turnover among the HWs in the top-tier promoter stables in the next 18 months. Whyte's chance has come and gone. Ruiz Jr. and Parker no longer excite. Usyk's got a great game - but it's not one that can be sustained as a fighter ages. Nobody knows how serious Wilder's comeback will be, and Tyson Fury is always a threat to finally run away and join the circus.

So there should be an opening for Mak among the top promoters before he gets too old to deliver the goods.
