At 28 and nearly 50 professional fights and many many wars, how long do you think Pacman can continue on for? I think he maybe has another 3/4 years left in the tank MAX before those wars will start catching up with him and his style doesnt exactly promote longivity! Thaughts?
with the $$$ he's earning every fight, he does'nt mind the belt, but i'd rather let him face the title holders(JMM, Guzman, Valero etc.) for him to get the 3rd weight division title.
I think he'll have a couple more years yet, look at all Barrera's wars and he still looks pretty good at 33. Stil hes gonna get KTFO by Pac.
i agree, around 3 more years and pac's speed and power should be on the decline. though i'm pretty sure by then he would have already fought "all time greatness cementing" fights against marquez and guzman.
he maybe has another 3/4 years left in the tank MAX before those wars will start catching up with him and his style doesnt exactly promote longivity! Well after hes done with Barrera he should consider taking on the title holders.
The key to longevity is a good defence & living well between fights. Pac lives well enough (I think) & his defence is improved so you never know. :good
i was going to say that most lighter weight guys in the smaller divisions lose there fighting skills earlier. i would say on average mostly at Manny's weight i would say 32 is a good age to retire. so 4 more years with possible 5 to 6 more big fights.
I think he has less than 2 years before starting to look bad, even losing badly to one of the top guys. I hope he fights JMM and Guzman right after Barrera within 1.5 yrs period then retires.
2 years prime, and then 2 years of fading, and if he doesn't leave by 2011, an over the hill Pacman. I hope he beats Barrera in October so they can immediately set up a rematch with Marquez.
Actually I am very happy he is fighting Barrera while letting the other top dogs (JMM, Guzman, Soto, Barrios) duke it out as to who deserves a shot at Pac.
He has two years, at most, of peak. I suspect he'll begin to fade very soon, perhaps even against MAB (although we may not really notice until later). I just want him to beat MAB, JMM and the best of the young guys. After that, I hope he gets out while he can.
My GUESS is 2 years the most.:yep The guy changed a lot when he started to earn millions. Now I can see him slowly losing his desire to fight the real TOP OPPONENTS because he already has a NAME and earning millions. So much extra curricular activities: singing career, acting career, endorsements and advertising, gambling and now he wants to go back to school to study.:huh Do you believe he can do that all together with fighting?
