Joyce fight is truly awful. Joe would have had much harder sparring sessions these past weeks then that main event. Callum Johnson fight is interesting though.
Hunter would have been decent for Joyce. Hammer is durable but ultimately stands little chance of upsetting Joyce.

We've been saying that for years, and Warren keeps delivering turds. He needs to leave Warren, his career is stagnating. He only got the Dubois fight, as he was clearly not intended to win that one. From an outside perspective it looks like a drawn out form of career suicide sticking with Queensberry. Think about this: compare Hughie Fury's resume to Joyce's to really put things in perspective...
Yeah unless this is a tune up for another fight in the not too distant future then yes, this fight is a waste of time. They should try targeting someone like Bakole or Hunter next (assuming the Highie fight doesn't happen). Sadly Joyce is getting frozen out of the World Title picture.
Old Frankie boy just sits his men until the WBO call a mando. Such an old school method. Zero promotion and weak route to a title. if he eventually gets called he will get schooled by Usyk etc as he’s not had enough pro fights at a decent level if he’s in a vacant situation he’ll end up fighting some scrub like Kabayel who no one wants to see. Joyce should run his contract down with Warren and put the feelers out for the promoter who wants to pay him the most. He’s already got the 1 spot anyway
Yup, Warren is doing the same thing with Anthony Yarde. I don't know... maybe the fighters don't actually have the ambition we think they do, and are actually happy with this strategy of sitting on a ranking and waiting for a pay day. And you make a great point: Joyce, like, Yarde is going to be ill-prepared for his eventual world title fight. Unfortunately, the person freezing him out of the picture is his own promoter, putting him into cold storage.
Easy fight for him but he's probably the most avoided HW in the world right now. I'd like to see him in there with someone like Hughie Fury.
