Berlanga has been awarded (haha) 6 months suspension and a $10k fine by the New York State Athletic Commission. This decision was well deserved....BUT I'm convinced the Commission wants us all to forget the ridiculous scorecards that night? What do you guys think?
Berlanga appears to be this century's version of Jose "The Threat" Baret. I'm in your corner on the judges shading as many rounds as they could for the pushed fighter.
A six month suspension is absolutely meaningless. I'm just not interested in seeing this guy fight unless he's taking on a real challenge.
I used to get upset by this 6 month "suspension" phenomenon, but nowadays I just find it hilarious. You're in trouble now son, you're grounded! until friday evening.
Berlanga is a fraud. Lost his last two fights and got insane cards by corrupt judges. Hopefully someone knocks this clown out. He's an absolute joke.
I rescored the 10 round bout against Steve Rolls and had Rolls easily winning 4 rounds to Edgars 2 rounds and had 4 rounds even. I get why they still gave the W to Berlanga he is young with a bright future in boxing and Rolls is old and on his way out. Watching the Angulo fight I think Berlanga might have lost that one too but havent rescored it yet. Those are 2 Wins that should be Losses
I agree. Losses can help a fighter going forward. Edgar might not even improve after these gifts. Atleast Sebastian Fundora seems to be getting better. I thought he lost to Jamontay Clark.
