While Smith rushed while being predictable with a jab jab jab overhand. Bivol will come out and jab…. Sit back, feint, give looks, Artur will look to jab back and Bivol will jump back and jab him back. Jab, counter jab, Beterbiev will throw a right hand that leads him forward with a stance change before throwing a southpaw left but Bivol will have stepped back and jabbed him again while Beterbiev will have missed, again.

Artur’s best weapon to beat Bivol is the right hand to the body he throws as a counter to a jab. He needs to break Bivol with that bodyshot. And pressure obviously. If Beterbiev can lay a hand on a guy he’ll usually wear them down, he’s just that strong.

Joe would’ve been far better off working behind his jab and making Artur come to him than falling inside where Artur’s hooks could reach him. Needed to plainly fight smarter. Made it easy for Artur.

Bivol boxing skills is being underrated. If they felt he was an easy fight they Bob Arum would have been talking about making that fight right now. People are getting carried away since Joe Smith just blindly swung for the fences at Beterbiev with no real gameplan. He left himself open to be KO’d. Bivol will fight very calculated and won’t just come inside swinging for the fences..

Bivol can move well and wouldn’t be blasted out early. But he would get worn down and stopped late. We saw that Smith hurt Bivol in their fight. Beterbiev has power with every punch.

I'm not convinced he would be worn down or stopped. I could see him get caught once or twice but then recover. I think Artur would have to hurt him like early in a round to really stop him.

Great fight. Bivol knows how to use his length, that alone will be a harder night for beterbiev. Bivol also can counter you even off the ropes where beterbiev will need him to be..

Even Artur said Joe Smith was like "very open" anotherwords he's easy to hit. Bivol is not easy to hit clean, neither is Canelo for that matter. Both would give Artur a much tougher test, not sure if either could beat him but would want to see them try.

I'm going to give Bivol the chance in this one. But a late stoppage loss or a one-sided destruction are also possible given how hard Beterbiev hits, and how accomplished he is at landing his shots at almost any stage of the fight.

Bivol looked great vs Canelo , looking the far more able boxer at 175 in every department .

Beterbiev though won't lay on the ropes and hope Bivol gets tired of throwing . He won't be hard for Bivol to find but can Bivol handle the power . Body shots would be advised for both fighters .

This is the fight to make at 175

    Canelo stands exactly zero chance.

He has a better chance than probably anyone not named Bivol. Canelo can actually punch, and can avoid shots. The problem is gassing.

It's a very interesting fight. If Beterbiev vs Bivol doesn't happen, I'd probably rather see Canelo take on Artur than Canelo Bivol 2. Canelo Beterbiev would be intense, Canelo might get hurt but that would be very entertaining. Canelo is not only slick, but he has an iron chin, so it's not going to be easy for Artur to get him out of there. And if he doesn't get stopped, then Canelo would have an easier time winning a decision on Artur than he would Bivol. I'm not that confident Canelo could beat him especially after he struggled against Bivol, but I still want to see them fight. Not as much as Beterbiev vs Bivol, but lets face it, besides Bivol, Canelo is probably the biggest challenge out there for Artur. Canelo would need to really target the body early on, slow his man down then work in some uppercuts.

One sided. With that said, Bivol is a bit better than I thought he was, and probably has the best chance of beating Beterbiev. I give him close to zero chance of being able to actually do it though. Beterbiev is a better boxer and you can’t take punches on your arms against Beterbiev. I doubt Bivol has the power to get Beterbiev’s attention either. Actually I give Bivol exactly zero chance now that I’m thinking about it.

IF Bivol doesn't get stopped though, if he lasts 12 rounds, it's hard to see Bivol losing a decision. He has faster hands than Beterbiev, has great footwork, throws those combinations and it's not easy to hit Bivol clean. So don't you agree that Artur could get outpointed and be down on the cards against Bivol? And if that's the case then all Bivol really needs to do is survive which he has the skills to do. If you think Bivol has no chance then I'm guessing you think he would get stopped. I'm just not convinced Bivol can be stopped. His defense is tight, he seems to have a good chin. Artur could certainly test that chin, but Bivol's defense is so good I just don't know if Artur could get him out of there. Damn just talking about it makes me want to see it badly. Come on Bob make the fight happen.

No I’d completely expect Beterbiev to outpoint him as well if it miraculously went the distance. Bivol can have the best defense in the world but he’s still going to be damaged by blocked and cuffing punches. Beterbiev is actually a better boxer than Bivol, people miss that because he’s such a devastating puncher. Beterbiev was the top international Russian boxer for multiple cycles, Bivol never progressed beyond the regional level. Beterbiev will cut off the ring (something Canelo couldn’t do) and make Bivol submit.
