I'd rather see Callum Smith vs him than Yarde. Revenge of the Smith.

    I can't see Beterbiev-Bivol getting good numbers.

Russians are about as popular as prostate cancer right now.

For a guy with Smith's style and amateur experience 32 fights in 13 years isn't enough. Smith should've had 35-40 fights before he even challenged for a title, so when he fought guys with extensive amateur backgrounds like Barrera, Bivol, and Beterbiev he would've been a more well rounded and prepared, since in all three fights Smith was clueless once his power got neutralized.

This. I'd love to see the fight, but I don't see any promoters dying to make this fight until the Russian situation is settled.

    Bent Judges, first time.

    Bent Ref second time.

Ward has a great SMW resume.

At LHW, he has no legit marquee wins...no LHW legacy to speak of.

People picking Ward to beat Beterbiev because he beat Kovalev don't understand what they are watching it seems. Kovalev fights from the outside. He was long reach and throws straight shots. Complete opposite of Beterbiev. Ward exploited Kovalev by engaging clinches and landed his shots on the way in and the way out and never staying in Kovalevs range outside of an engagement. Beterbiev is a MUCH more difficult problem to solve for Ward as Beterbiev does is best work in the midrange where Ward wants to be. Ward would have a much easier time with Beterbievs jab but once hes past it he has to contend with getting mauled. My opinion on this is the same as it was 6 years ago. Beating Smith jr means nothing to me since I never rated Joe very high to begin with but Beterbievs demolition of Gvozdyk is one of the best wins in boxing of the past few years.

Not me, quite frankly I can't stand watching Fury fight. I'm merely pointing out, for a dominant killing machine that knocks out most of his opponents, Beterbiev is oddly dispassionate and dull. AJ is similar in that respect. Just because someone is a KO artist, it doesn't make them enjoyable to watch.

Aside from his match against Callum Johnson, name me one truly thrilling Beterbiev match. And no, the match against Gvozdyk wasn't thrilling. If anything it was a nervous tactical competitive chess match, that managed to end in an underwhelming TKO.

He hasnt been in a 5 star fight, but most fighters haven't. You need to be pushed to have a thrilling fight. Johnson dropped him and Beterbiev had to get off his ass to win the fight. Hes never had a snoozer.

It's not his fault that everyone of his fights are him clinically dissecting the opponent. It's a systematic annihilation. There is a method and strategy to the attack with the end goal of forcing a stoppage.

I think they sleep on that and actually become enamored with his power and overlook certain things.
He's a very smart boxer as well as being a huge puncher.

I wouldn't get too excited over Beterbiev's performance. Smith was tailor-made for him.

If Beterbiev fight Bivol within one year frow now he will crush him before the 10th round. Mark my words. But the more time it takes to make the fight, the more Chances Bivol will win .
