I'm NOT betting on this fight. I've seen too many Boxer/Puncher rematches, maybe? Anyway, if I lay off it, I can't lose any money for sure. I may kick myself later.
I don't know why, but I think Usyk has something in his mind. I follow him since Mchunu fight and he is different this time.
In what way? He seems less happy and fun. Like the joy is out of him. Which given the war is very understandable.
He is feeling the pressure. Maybe not from AJ, but from his people. Apparently many people are waiting for Usyks money to help his hometown. He was allowed to leave his country to fight, in exchange of that money that he is getting.
I think so too, but on the other hand you're kinda waiting for him to have that moment again like he did vs Wlad. But he's been a throwback in terms of being a fighting champ and overcoming his loss(1) so far. That's why I'm interested in the rematch.
I looked into the eyes of both men and saw that they will both be bringing it both super motivated so we are in for a treat.
Anyone thinking Joshua has no chance is very wrong imho. One clean well timed shot from AJ is all it takes and Usyk will be in serious trouble. In fight one Joshua's game plan was all wrong, he tried to outbox a master boxer, bouncing on his toes, pityy patty boxing not loading up on shots at all. It's do or die for him this time around so I expect a different mentality, a bigger heavier version, with more authorative ring presence and basically for him to go for broke. Usyk is a brilliant boxer and yes he does have a good chin, but the uppercut Wlad took or the punches Joshua has previously landed to finish the likes of Whyte, Povetkin and Pulev would be too much for Usyk also!
Since 2016? And a handful of defenses. Meanwhile Usyk is knighted after 1 fight lol. Is there a double standard?
Everyone at the table looked like they were nervous about saying the wrong thing lest they accidently insult the Arabs and get a limb chopped off.
No he actually beat AJ meaning he`s better than everybody AJ beat, Usyk has been undisputed cruiser champ and won many world title fights. As an amateur, Usyk won gold medals at the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympics, both in the heavyweight division. He turned professional in 2013 and won the undisputed cruiserweight championship in his 15th professional fight in 2018. Three of his titles were won during the inaugural World Boxing Super Series, in which he won the Muhammad Ali Trophy, as well as The Ring magazine and lineal cruiserweight titles. For his achievements, Usyk was named the 2018 Fighter of the Year by Sports Illustrated, ESPN, The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA).
