As boxers, these guys are huge fans of the sport! When asked by reporters if they watched the fight, how come they seem to never watch the fight?? What is so bad about admitting they watched it??
Are you going by the recent GGG Interview where he just stated that regarding Canelo/Bivol? While he atleast seems sincere, not sure about the others saying such.
Yeah i think with GGG he wouldn't even want to watch Canelo in any capacity due to his disdain towards him, He wholeheartedly seems done with him due to how the last two fights played out & with all the shenanigans in-between & after.
A lot of the time, these guys aren't lying. Most boxers aren't huge boxing fans. While they are fans of the sport, generally, boxers will only usually watch their own fights, their upcoming opponents fights, and the big fights. Someone like Tank has no reason to watch a CW fight; it's generally a waste of time that could've been spent doing something else. A lot of them spend time on themselves, and training, which they should.
Oh i checked your right, perhaps just wanted to congratulate him & in turn down Canelo aswell at the same time, also GGG & Bivol sharing that Russian connection so i could see why he did tweet it out.
Bivol is Moldovan and Korean, GGG is Russian and Korean but raised in Kazakhstan and reps Kazakhstan heavy
Fighters like to fight, not necesarily to watch fights. Same goes with training. Fighters usually love to fight, not to train. I knew a trainer who said that good fighters only want to spar, everyday of the week, and that they hate the rest of the training. I dont see anything weird in fighters not liking to watch fights, tbh.
