Fighting past prime is not shameful. Blatantly robbing a fighter, then smashing said fighter's balls in and then immediately retiring after is shameful. Youre making out as if this is really hard to understand
Nah you went full ****** so I’m going to answer back with ******ation. I’m happy Kovalev got robbed and ball punched because he is a dirty drunk ****** cheater russian. It was God’s will that he be punished in the greatest nation in the world by the Son of God himself Andre Ward. Justice was served.
Part of me wants to say boxing is a sport that's all about risk - to criticize guys for cutting much harder than other guys when they're all taking a risk of serious damage (whether accumulated over a career or through one or two significantly damaging bouts) seems almost like it's just part of the game. On the other hand, the point of weight classes in the first place is to make things fairer and enable the naturally smaller guys to compete on relatively fair playing fields. I can't help but wind up feeling that if nothings going to be done about it from a rules perspective, the least that can be done is to poke a little fun at the guys cutting harder than everyone else in order to gain advantage... Sure, they don't really care, but at least the point that it's not entirely sporting either is still made.
I dislike Ward but respect him. But Kovalev had to ve put on the cross and ended his career in shame with rap-e drugs and alcohol. To answer your question. Now he prostitues himself on Triller.
Hey I liked Kovalevs boxing style.. But he is a scumbag, and yeah he probably did deserve getting his balls bashed in. But I'm not gonna give Ward credit for doing so
Don't think there was a child involved with Valero, i believe he was accused of killing his wife & then committing suicide in jail, which compares to the recent Felix Verdejo who did the unthinkable to his pregnant girlfriend.
Perhaps it was also due to Gennady's age and his give no **** attitude after the second Canelo fight because after their first draw he seemed at least okay with that result & getting to keep his belts, But Agreed nonetheless i mean GGG just disappeared after that 2nd fight almost like his whole Career was only to chase a Big Canelo fight & nothing else, sad.
I Agree with this and see this so many times, recent example where Haney was noticeably larger than Kambosso it can't be missed, though nothing will change & it will continue.
Have to disagree. Not a hater towards you @Quina74 , but kovalev mounted next to no offense in the rematch. Seems like ward figured him out after the knock down in fight one. Going low or not, kovalev was not winning that fight.
Or because of the long Covid break leaving him inactive more than 2 years out, he should have then had a tune up & then fight someone at 140 rather than competing with guys that are naturally way larger than him to begin with.
Chavez jr anyone? Once was considered a force at MW. Delegated to side show exhibition type fights and still loses or quits. Hell some people thought he was winning against Jacobs. Then decides to pack it up and quit.
