I do, I feel he would fight the same 1/2 grab, occasional left hook style. He always fight like that. Therefore he would struggle with Fury's height, feints and movement. Maybe he would have adapted sooner if Manny was in his corner though?
Possibly. I just think if Vlad fought the same way he did against AJ he would have done better, but as you mentioned, the movement, fients of Fury kept Vlads hands holstered.
Yeah I feel he would have done a lot better in the rematch. Its a knock on Fury that it never happened. He owed that rematch imo.
I'll be 37 next month... there is no way anyone can tell me age is not a factor in any athletic performance after your mid 30's.
It was an awful fight, nothing to do with age. This version was no better. Wlad's style is just lame. This content is protected
Wladimir Klitschko looked awful vs Jennings just before the fight with Fury. He was an old man. Sad that Fury fans have to try to pad his resume of old men and nobodies, but at least Wladimir remains as the best of his era and the longest reigning champion in history while Fury is widely considered inferior to Usyk and only ever defended his title vs 1 guy
Wladimir Klitschko reached his prime at 39 and his ultimate physical peak at 41, i believe whatever they say on Sky Sports.
As I recall this fight was just two tall guys flinching and hesitating in front of each other all night. It was absolute garbage.
37 year old version of any fighter beats 40 year old version. There are a few rare examples of boxers who peak late (32 and older) only because they've had slow low wear careers.
Traditionally in the HW division the old guard ALWAYS eventually lose out to the younger fighter in their prime. The only times that didn’t happen was when Lennox Lewis retired but he came close vs Vitali and Marciano retiring. Nothing to be ashamed of it’s simply how the torch is passed..
