So for some reason this fight has been made years after it was in demand, typical of boxing. The excuse made previously was that they were good friends and wouldn't fight each other, so what the hell happened there?
This fight's been scheduled for the 20th of July for Knockout's WBA strawweight title, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Knockout, Wanheng looked totally washed in his last fight.

Can't say I'm not either, that's a Thai showdown for the ages. The Petchmanee-Wanheng fights were top class affairs, I expect a similar level of high intensity violence here.

The Thai are probably trying to cash in on Wanheng as much as possible. Still it is rather weird that right now they are fighting. Wanheng fought his brother-in-law twice and he didn't seem to have any problem with it.

Better late than never, weird that I was just thinking about what could have been had these guys faced off a couple of years ago. Rewatched highlights of the Niyomtrong/Paradero fight, which was a pretty crazy fight. Niyomtrong did well to stay composed and take the much bigger, younger and more aggressive Filipino out.

CP is fresher but Wanheng briefly overtook Mayweather's claim to the TBE crown so it's a pick 'em.

Found the guy without a brother in law.

Wanheng was robbed, this is the REAL fight. Panya defending against Koura is a ***** move!

I must say I disagree with your sentiments about the Panya-Koura fight, that's a tasty one imo. As much as I love Wanheng I still think he lost both fights even though he gave a mighty effort in them. If he beats Knockout I reckon he deserves to be considered the ATG of strawweight regardless.

It is still an intriguing fight (few years late like May Pac), I'd like to see Wanheng win but Mr Freshmart is too young and fresh

It would have been better if Waheng was still TBE

I can't tell how many title defenses Freshmart should have to his credit. He held the WBA interim belt for four fights before getting the regular WBA belt. He defended that one eight times before getting the WBA super belt for three. Does that just count as three or do all of the WBA belts matter?

Also, with only 23 fights by the age of 31 he's really inactive for a Thai fighter. Shouldn't he have about 100 by now if he were typical? Nevermind, it makes sense he doesn't have more boxing matches if he was also a Muay Thai kickboxer.

Wanheng can now go live in the legends mansion with Dustin the Worm and Ali Raymi
